i have 4 and i've never once swapped out. i'm not sure what people are doing that uses so much but linux copy-on-write seems to keep memory usage really low on my box.

My Chromebook has more RAM and a faster CPU than my desktop, but for some reason my desktop is faster. A 2 core Celeron can't beat a Core2 Duo with lower specs for some reason.
