2gb 4gb of memory? What year is this?

It's 2019... was that a serious question?

>It's 2019
Indeed, and nVidia is about to launch 4GB cards, after launching 6GB ones as top of their lineup.
What a fucking joke.

>gtx 1050ti performance for gtx 1050ti price, 3 years later
Wow, nvidiots are truly fucking amazed by nothing.

Why is everyone suddenly pushing this "you need 16GB VRAM" meme. Is it AYMD cope

Why is everyone suddenly pushing this "VRAM isn't important" meme. Is it Nvidiot cope

AMDIOT cope confirmed, 4GB is perfect for 1080p. Everything above is wasted

Nvidiot cope confirmed, 4GB isn't enough for 1080p. Everything above is fine

>1080p

Gaymen 1440p monitors are expensive af

and shit

I'm a tech guy and nvidia buyer of many years but even I can not keep track of all these gpus and how they compare to each other.

>4GB is perfect for 1080p
According to my official AMD advertisments you need 16 GB of HBM for 1080p

Probably not a bad little card if you're only interested in playing @ 1080. Will wait to see what it costs before passing judgement, though. If it comes close to the 1050s launch price of ~$100, might not be a bad value.

Why won't AMD release anything?

they released the VII workstatio I mean gaming card

Attached: 1553017113248.jpg (567x374, 49K)

I am always most interested in the best card without the 6-pin, since it means it can be shoved into most old used business PCs and work fine without messing with power adapters.

Probably running into issues keeping Navi cool while having any noticeable performance leap over Poolaris.

75W? No PCIe power needed? Finally a better alternative to 1050 Ti to upgrade those Optiplexes.

>he thinks he needs more than that for a budget-to-low-midrange card
>he thinks he's going to be able to play anything on high enough settings to exceed 4 GB on this

Niger nodded skyrI'm Sims4 gta5 texture packs for farcry etc all need more
Base stock games like the new doom and rainbow six need at least 5gb. I'd tech megatextur. 1080ti now!

This. The boomers in work will love them since they have triple monitor outputs. They honestly think I'm god when I upgrade their desktops. Three blog standard 1080p displays are the holy grail to them.

>Base stock games like the new doom and rainbow six need at least 5gb.
Is this for playing on high, medium or low?

the more monitors the more 1337 they are

GTX 6666 when?

oi Jow Forums hold my hand for a moment
is the rtx2060 a meme and should i wait for the AMD comeback?
down here in
Chile
it's on sale right now at "$305" instead of the usual "$350" on every store
as a uni student i'll be pretty much stuck with my next gpu for the next 4 years and was looking for a $300~ option
right now i'm running an r9 290 so guessing the jump will be considerable
so yey or na?

Attached: I'm scared senpai.jpg (361x370, 19K)

>2019
>4gb
>gddr5
top kek

rtx is a meme

No lol nudoom runs fine maxed out on 3.5 meme70

Its a steal dude get it. Will be more than twice as fast as the 290 and pull less wattage

for 305$, yes. nothing that i could think of can contest that value
fucking 1660s (non Ti) cost that much where I live

Maybe I'll finally have a reason to replace my 2GB 750ti.

Hopefully upgraded CalmX are on their way.

Attached: 750Ti 1050Ti.jpg (1120x450, 119K)

Was gonna say mining but saw it's still only GDDR5

Daily reminder that only dumb gooks, slavs and Turkish cockroaches buy low end nvidia.

oh no not at all especially for 2019. you need RX 570 8GB, GTX 1060 6GB or 1660 for that.

still only statements and no proof

>Cope
Stop this

Sure, 6GB or even 8GB would have been nice, but I wouldn't mind playing older games on this in a proper HTPC. You know, games back in a time where recommended specs weren't so bloated.

The real question is: how much? No more than $200 at launch, $160-ish being the sweet spot.

techpowerup.com/reviews/Palit/GeForce_GTX_1050_Ti_KalmX/

Neat

Considering the 1050ti sells for $170+ I don't think they're going to price the "upgrade" at much less than $200.

>t.seething and coping nvidia shill
>what do you need 8gb for? here's your 3.5gb goy.

No it'll be better than 1050ti performance once they kill actual 1050ti cards with driver updates.

A middle of the line card should be able to play 5 year old games on all max

Pretty nice. With this release RX 570 (the last amd card with a reason to exist) should fade into irrelevance.

isn't the 1660 $220?

in b4 $200 USD MSRP

nvidia fan here, rtx is a meme. Wait for literally anything else

show me one game that uses more than 4GB of vram in 1080p

wait for the amd cumback so the rtx2060 hopefully gets cheaper

Why don't these fucks sell their shit outside Europe?

>muh vram
>still playing everything 60fps on high with 1440p with 3.5gbs

Attached: 213224.jpg (700x577, 118K)

I ran doom on 1060 3GB, High settings 120+FPS
Memory allocation =/ Memory usage

High settings is crap. There is very high, ultra and nightmare which you can't select with 4gb

No. Buy. Waiting has a cost of its own.

Call of Duty is probably the highest allocation I've seen but the highest actual usage is prob Ass Creed Odyssey. Performance is shit under 6GB.

imagine buying a 1050 ti performance for rx 570 price 3 years later
kys nvidiot

I was using the second best preset don't remember the exact nomenclature
But even on the highest it was way above 60 FPS, I needed more for my 120Hz monitor

are you playing indie games user?

>Stop buying Nvidia cards!

Attached: 1553949072075s.jpg (250x235, 7K)

KILL YOURSELF FAGGOT AYYMDPOORFAGS

BUYING AYYMD HOUSEFIRES WITH POOR PERFORMANCE, TOP KEK

Ok nvtard

Yeah, anyone that'd actually buy these cards would have to be a huge fucking retard.

>modded texture packs
>some hobbyist 17yr old zoomer thinks you can see the difference between upscaled 4096 and quality 1024 distance textures
>here load this 1.2GB of files you need a 600% screenshot zoom to even notice
Many such cases.
Sad!

Ok nvtard

Attached: 1553949000625.jpg (378x378, 31K)

i thought the poor were the 90%

Attached: 1f914.png (512x512, 19K)

Which is sad because they're only overcharging outgoing models to justify the new gen price.
I bought a custom cooler 1050Ti for $140 back before the BTC crash, and now they're more expensive?

>2 GB
The year is 2016

Go back to amds bullshit, where they give you large numbers that don't accomplish anything.

even in 2016 2gbs were super fucking low
look at the gtx 960 it aged like milk
taking the nvidiot route and using as less vram as possible is bad for you and your wallet
Good luck playing the division 2 or resident evil 2 with your 6gb card you fucking jigaboo

Depends on the level of optimization. I’ve got 4gb vram and 16 System, I can run division 2 on medium-low but the anthem demo was 1000000% unplayable for me on any setting

AYYMDPOORFAGS CONFIRMED ON SUICIDE WATCH

>playing games at low to medium settings
put a shotgun on your mouth

NVIDIA HAS NO VRAM

6GB isn't a problem

AYYMDPOORFAGS CONFIRMED TO BE LIARS & SORE LOSERS AGAIN AND AGAIN :^)

Attached: Division_1080p.png (1329x1210, 77K)

70fps at with stutter

NOOOOO

Attached: 1550485814204.png (653x726, 35K)

>DX11
WTF?

Nvidiots will seethe at their stutterfire garbages housefires GPUs.

Attached: hqdefault_3.jpg (480x360, 19K)

DX12 is fucked in that game.

>MSI

Well there's your problem!

>I-it's MSI's fault!
COPE

This is a Gaming X Trio, a 1300$+ GPU.

who the fuck even buys 1300 dollar gpus

>2gb
who the fuck would buy this? you could buy a card with the same ram for less than $100, the performance may not be quite there but lets be real you're not doing anything crazy with 2gb vram anyways. I wouldn't pay more than $50 for it

for 120 dollars you can buy an rx 570 4gb which has gtx 1060 performance
x50 cards are a joke and so is the whole turing lineup

Nvidiots.

You mean 2012

Literally everyone atleast has a 1070 or equivalent of graphics power these days. What in the actual fuck is even the point of this mid market shit? You can't keep the market capped at the 1080ti forever.

The GTX 1050 - the 2 GB card mentioned in the article -;was released in 2016.

10% better, 3 years later. Its still trash though. The performance is basically stagnant.

2GB VRAM were a thing around 2012. That was 7 years ago. Nvidiots truly deserve the rope

and no linux drivers. they can straight fuck off, and you with them, shill

should I get a radeon VII or just >keep waiting
I have a Fury X and I want to keep my GoySync monitor

2012 was the year where 2gbs of vram was the most you could get out of a gpu

keep waiting, the gpu market, especially at the high end is really fucking shit at the moment

>Literally everyone atleast has a 1070 or equivalent of graphics power these days
>Literally everyone
Fucking Valleygirl talk.
Also, you're so detached from reality that it hurts. You can count on fingers GPUs with 1070+ level of performance. I have RX580 8gb and it's still worse than 1070. And 1050ti/1060/1060 6gb is pretty standard. And, believe it or not with your spoiled eyes, a lot of people have oh god forbid those 900 series GPUs. GTX 750ti was the most popular GPU on steam until a year ago.

Just some reality for you. 1650 is Nvidia's great offering for at least 40% of the casuals

>4 years to bring top-end specs to an entry-level product
Seems ok to me

>2gb top end in 2012
