Also, it's worth noting that other than apple charging you 5x what an ipad use to cost, from their perspective they love it, because iOS is a walled garden. That means that 3rd party software developers can't make programs for their platform without going through the Apple Store, which means apple gets to clip the ticket to the tune of 60% of all the software programs that people want on their iPad (computer replacement).

So, a company that previously never had to pay apple a dime to provide software that could be installed on MacOS, nor did they need Apple's permission and blessing, now needs to go hat in hand and meet all of apples strenuous demands to get listed in the app store.

Fucking evil geniouses that apple-cuck-execs are, they know if they get enough stupid sheeple to buy into the fact that an iPad pro is as good or better than a macBook then the software companies will be forced by popular demand to provide the software on the ipad as well as MacOS.

i use an hp business model refurbished with core2 duo for a box and i have an acer aspire and a newer acer chromebook. i don't have a cellphone at all. i have a digital antennae and some tv from a chinese brand i've never heard of for watching tv, but i don't really watch tv much anyway. i think my truck has a computer in it if that counts, and my microwave is one of those overpriced advantium shits that i regret buying.

I don't get the point of iPads and other similar things. Whatever features you use them for can be better found on dedicated devices like a Wacom tablet or some fancy MIDI.

my truck got stuck in a ditch this last winter, so i walked a couple blocks to a gas station and asked to use their phone, it was no problem. people got along just fine before cellphones. if i'm going to be ten minutes late i just show up ten minutes late, i see no need to alert everyone to such a small happening, it's not like ten minutes matters that much.

on the plus side i can run errands without constant interruption. it's nice being able to prepare a list, run to the stores, and return home before having to worry about anything else. multitasking is a modern meme, it's better to leave all the messages until the end of the day and takes notes on what you have to do tomorrow than to bounce all over the place all day like adhd.

iPads are fucking fine so long as you accept what you are getting into, i keep entertaining the possibility myself, but i'm sure i'd bump up against too many walls.
