dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-6864029/Biggest-breach-recorded-982-MILLION-peoples-personal-information-exposed.html

>Hackers could now have access to your name, date of birth and even where you LIVE

>Email validation' firm was taken offline when the enormous breach was reported

>Personal information like names, address and employer were also exposed

>Verifications.io is a company offering 'enterprise email validation' as a service

>Validators ensure that the email addresses in a list are valid and won't bounce

I've actually forgotten it a few times.
I've been a NEET for 20 years and I don't go out much.

never trust a startup with your data

>Mongo-loid

This takes NEETery to a new level. I sometimes forget my age but forgetting my name not something I thought would be possible.

why would you trust anyone with your data

>he never fills out any forms
yikes

>I submitted pony art to equestria daily using my real name back in 2012
>publicly displayed with no option to remove

The form asked for "name". What else was I going to put there?

john smith

>A pen name
>A user name
>A psuedonym
>Someone else's name
>"Anonymous"
Question still stands.

Contact staff.

>pwned 7 times.
How is this avoidable? What password managers are the best, and do I have to pay for them?

How do I find out if my information has been breached?
I'm worried for my mom, her passwords are really stupid easy and she's had her information stolen multiple times

How 2 train stupid boomers to use the internet correctly?

>password manager
Yes, just give your password to even more different companies. That'll reduce the likelihood of having your information stolen.

While I share your sentiment, don't you think hiding your email address or phone number is pretty stupid? Their purpose is to contact you. If you have it it should be public. If you don't want it to be published just don't have it.

It's important to separate communication email from account login email, but many people don't.

just change your password, its a badge of honor to be pwned 50 times and not ever lose anything, so what your email address is in a list with an old password, it means nothing
