why does China hate Taiwan si much? did Taiwan fuck China's bitch or something?

pretty much yeah.
Taiwan decided against communism and is a nearly democratic state within communist china. The Chinese consider Taiwan just an island full of rebel outcasts. And the Taiwanese consider themselves Chinese but independent.

taiwan is china but under control of a different political party

basically a civil war gone cold

>within communist china
no?

Why doesn't China just invade Taiwan? No one would stop them

the US might

>different political party
at least Taiwan gets to switch their presidents every term or so, no matter how imperfect their democracy is, while President Winnie the Pooh has not declared himself President for life, and his rubber-stamp Party Congress pushed it through because "China is gonna be numbah one now and no one can touch us!1!"

I wish the US would only recognize Taiwan again

the butthurt would be glorious

The US is the only country with the balls big enough to occasionally send naval ships through the Taiwan Strait to cockblock any Chinese intelligence-gathering shenanigans there.

tim cook is such a piece of shit

It was probably either that, or no sales in China.

literally every industrialized nation would have an interest in stopping China from doing that. The amount of western money moving through Taiwan is insane.

At least China is relevant and powerful (all that matters), taiwan is just gay. And whomst still unironically believes in muh democracy anymore lmao?

It's possible but they won't, China is constantly using its 1+ billion population as market leverage and blackmail where if anyone dares to recognize Taiwan, they'll just block companies from said country from selling their goods in China. And no country with a powerful business lobby that has captured the regulators, legislators and overall system (i.e. the US) won't dare to let that happen.

In other words, the US became strange bedfellow with the PRC and literally made a deal with the devil just to boost profits for the multinationals.

Is it bgr or rgb?

> taiwan is just gay
US dealers prefer Taiwan manufacturers: at least courts in Taiwan work better than in China.

The main reason would be military related. Right now Chinese subs are generally limited within the Taiwan Strait. However if PRC got their hands on Taiwan, they would get sub bases on the east side of the island, allowing those subs to be dumped into the Pacific Ocean. Money usually go through Hong Kong, not Taiwan.

They eventually will, they've made it very clear they will use force if Taiwan declares independence or if they consider pacific reunification no longer possible. One of these is inevitable as time passes

I prefer the term, USA+Free China to Taiwan

Taiwan was China (ROC), and flew to Taiwan after the PRC won the civil war and claimed the China title. Taiwan is called Taiwan because they have control over Taiwan, but they officially are still China the original.

Taiwan is literally surrounded by US navy ships for the last few years.

The ROC is the rump reactionary party in Taiwan now Mr. Chinaman. Taiwan wants nothing but to renounce it's claims on china and get away from the autistic screwball that is mainland china.

But we have this, this is better.

Free Tibet The Tiananmen Square protests of 1989 The Tiananmen Square Massacre The Anti-Rightist Struggle The Great Leap Forward The Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution Human Rights Democratization Freedom Independence Multi-party system Taiwan Formosa Republic of China Tibet Dalai Lama Falun Dafa The Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Nobel Peace Prize Liu Xiaobo Winnie the Pooh

ROC is still their name, KMT is the party. Taiwan wants to give up their claim as China but they know they can't, else they would have done it during the DPP presidency. There is a reason why they didn't change the constitution and make it Taiwan once and for all.
