Maybe, but you can't see how the passwords are labelled like you can with pass by looking at the file names.

KeePassXC is a community project, it supports more operating systems, doesn't require mono, generates TOTP tokens. Other than that it's very similar. I find XC to be superior.

The original Keepass works better with Windows. It can take advantage of windows features that the cross platform version has to leave out.

Secure Desktop when entering passwords to defeat keyloggers, Secure Windows Clipboard to stop other apps stealing your copied/pasted passwords, Windows DPAPI for protected memory.

KeepassXC can't use any of these as it is built for the lowest common denominator (Linux) which doesn't have any of these security features

I have no idea what tomb is, nor do I care for the reasons that other user laid out. I'm just saying the argument that a program following the unix philosophy is bad because it requires usage with other tools to be useful is silly. That's the entire point and appeal.

If an attacker has access to my passwords they also have access to my browser history, my clipboard, everything. And that's assuming they just have read access to the filesystem somehow. If the have access to my user they can just keylog me. Physical attacks are a non-issue because not only are my disks fully encrypted, but also if theyre trying to run some physical attack I'm hosed anyway.
