*sniiiiiiiifffffff*

I came to the last thread because the OP was a picture of stax, which were the ugliest things I'd ever seen. As an objective party, having done cursory research, they are indeed confirmed shit.

Are staxfags memeing or are they headphone hipsters?

Stax are literally the best you can buy

Unfortunately the Stax headphones are far superior as far as sound goes, but I still enjoy my Beyers since they look nice.

This is the tranny thread right? Anyone want to help with their preferred HRT regimen? Thanks.

They're insects that shill for their queen I mean company in China.

no that would be speakers

what a shit thread

hey audiofools

the best headphones you can buy are speakers? no user, the best headphones you can buy are STAX

cool a thread i can post in. got these a few years ago, closed back because i live w/ someone and can't really have sound leaking through the back. never tried DT 1990 before-- anyone here owned both DT 1770 and 1990 that can give me a rundown on differences?

Attached: headfon.jpg (2024x1518, 268K)

The 1770 is a heaping pile of garbage compared to the 1990, and a lot of other headphones really.

save your money and buy stax

Based and redpilled

cool, gimme the lowdown on why it's a "heaping pile of garbage", and how it differs from the 1990. definitely not opposed to picking up a 1990 or anything else really, but you gotta give me a reason dawg

1770 stock has muddy one-note bass without any definition, and fucked up treble. Also a recessed lower mids make vocals sound thin. 1990 has a spike but it's not the rollercoaster that is the 1770 and the bass is much much cleaner.

not entirely sure what you mean by "one note" bass, but it's relatively easy for me to discern the difference between notes that ring out louder than others like g# at ~52hz vs other less resonant sub frequencies. not sure what you mean by "fucked up treble", would appreciate if you could expand on that.. anyway, i prefer closed back for the aforementioned reason, i'm well aware that an open back design generally has bass that more accurately represents how it should "really" sound, but that's why I have a set of monitors + mono reference monitors

NIGGERS
STAX

No they aren't.

They are only the best if you listen exclusively to acoustic music.

Literally no bass.

Try any other decent bass focused or TOTL headphone. Different bass notes make you feel different kinds of "pressure". It's hard to describe, but every bass hit on the 1770 feels the same.
And yes the treble is fucked, you have to EQ the shit out of it. Bunch of peaks and dips and a pretty large notch at 4K. I don't hear the same notch in the 1990 though it measures the same way in that area.

...

Get the Focal Elex instead. Beats the shit out of both STAX and Beyers, but is considerably expensive. Pair it with a good hybrid amp for best results.

No, it’s idiocy.

It's been a while since I've posted, feels like i'm right at home.
