What is the comfiest linux distro and desktop enviroment setup?
What is the comfiest linux distro and desktop enviroment setup?
win10 with msys2
>winblows
solus, gnome
Slackware, using a window manager instead of a desktop environment
Arch, i3 or KDE
fedora 29 with kde plasma
Devuan/Void Linux + Openbox.
fpbp
Gentoo + dwm
Guix System ∧ StumpWM
Unironically arch+xfce
Uncomfiness comes from the inherent non-debain based status
Xfce is best desktop by a mile
Manjaro
Debian/Devuan + Xfce
Solus budgie
can confirm, my arch with i3 setup is super comfy
i like solus + budgie on i-core & debian + xfce on c2d
>Arch
>dwm
>st
>dmenu
Also based and comfypilled
Fedora + i3
linux mint cinnamon with the new official daily builds ppa they just made, cinnamon is way faster now
Tell me why I would use dwm instead of i3
Arch, i3 -with- KDE
So you can autistically patch features into it tjat come with i3 by standard for an incresibly small reduction in footprint.
Most comfy: Ubuntu.
Most powerful: Gentoo, Linux from scratch
Most beginner friendly : Elementary OS, Mint
Most larpy: Kali, Backtrack
Most neety: Arch
Most used in industry: Debian > Fedora > Gentoo
good job on fitting in son proud of u
Gobo linux + awesome
Anything with gnome
Rice niggers don’t know comfy it is
I agree thoroughly, slap a dock onto the thing and you're all set and done
t. arch+gnome user
ubu i3
Manjaro + Xfce
nigga you really gonna call the fucking compiling meme that is gentoo more neety than arch?
Solus budgie
KDE Neon is extremely comfy to me, Deepin Desktop is the best environment but the distro is quite unstable nowadays.
Debian stable + dwm
Xfce for recreation and i3 for work/self improvement.
Devuan with MATE / XFCE set up like pic
autism aside, Debian/Arch are comfy if different reasons, depends if you want to tinker with your system a lot
and XFCE currently is the comfiest DE since it's very customisable and straight-forward
xubuntu is nice too
also cute pic
I like LXQT.
Small, fast.
Just avoid GTK if you're autistic cause GTK+QT is fucking annoying to make look tolerable and GTK devs compile with debug logging or some shit enabled on everything everywhere so it's constantly spamming term with bukkake retard warning messages that literally nobody ever anywhere needs to see because they're pedantic fuckboys.
KDE is pretty good too, and XFCE.
(On Manjaro/Arch.)
Fedora
Itjustwerks.rpm
based, install and run.
No worries about anything, every non meme distro has a live image with it already. See
the best fucking implementation, can't wait for fedora 30 at the end of this month for gnome 3.32, it has per application notification control.
>looks like shit
no thanks, QT is cancer just use gtk what the fuck is the need to be a special snowflake. LXDE was fine, fuck you
what icon theme is that?
For me it'd be CoverOS and Openbox
bluecurve afaik
God bless, is i3 really that good?
I've been using openbox but using a window manage that's so kb intensive sounds productive.
Kubuntu
trust me, it's not
NixOS+xmonad
>XFCE
that's gnome
