The early internet was a great place to disassociate from gender identity. I basically kept my spirit alive while my body has decayed by surfing the net. At a certain point my love for women was turned inwards against myself and I reckon my heart almost broke. In the time I'm taking to reinvent myself I need to be careful that I don't completely extinguish that part of me that left for the other side.
In Linux there is a lot of room for the user to modify things and make them special. A lot of my transsexuality I suppose was the echo of all the specialness I felt that I needed.

See, this is what I don't understand. I'm currently on HRT (MTF) per several specialists orders after two suicide attempts and a handful of self-harm incidents. Was in a really bad fuckin place, and after about a year and a half on HRT, I'm to the point where I'm not suicidal anymore.
That shit's not normal, and I can't see anybody saying that it's not some kind of mental illness. It fucked me over hard. I don't understand why anyone would want to glorify it / normalize it. Maybe allow for a bit more public understanding of the shitshow that people with severe dysphoria go through would be nice, but none of this glorification bullshit.
That being said, this faggot likes Linux because it's flexible and allows me to set up my development pipeline far more easily than OSX/Windows, while also allowing for far more flexibility in customization. I guess that pretty much falls under all things considered.

I'm not trans, but before I was into linux I was supper into custom motorcycles and tattoos. I've easily spent over ten thousand dollars on bikes over the years. The only non-tattooed parts of my body which are normally visible are my hands, neck, and face.
The idea of a never finished project is very appealing to a lot of autistic people. There's "always just one more thing" to do, get, make, or accomplish.
I've known several fully out trans people and they never seem to have a specific end point in mind for their transitions. It's a working progress with stages and achievements included.
I think we all just like to have something to keep us busy or to be working towards.
