It doesn't do anything I need better than Linux and does several things worse. Jails are less flexible than Docker.

because i....don't want to! ha ha ha

They're CoCed

I don't need to justify myself to you. Go fuck yourself.

Linux too
Rude

Suspend/hibernate

Drivers.

>812 packages
>In 2017+2
What the fuck

What is the problem?

>{open,net}BSD exist
>Gentoo exists
>Trannies
>this

Drivers for what hardware?
>gentoo
>openbsd
Meme
>tranies
In all opensores shit

Because it doesn't have systemd. Using it feels like I'm back in the 90s.

Grow up people.

You need go back, Lennart.

suspend to RAM doesn't work on my x201s. therefore, I won't use it

>gentoo
>meme
Confirmed for too stupid to install
No distro let's you customize your shit more with use flags, package masks, init systems, etc. than Gentoo.
There's so much good shit in Gentoo it's hard to know where to begin. Just today I learned about live ebuilds which solved an issue I was having with PCSX2 elegantly.
Unironically the best flavor of *nix around.

>Berkeley
top kek

Screenshots look a shit. Windows doesn't have this issue.

does it come with plasma 5.15?
if old ass 5.12 only I don't care

No games.

Not autistic.

>Linux too
Linux's is just to prevent autist devs from starting fights, which used to be the norm on lkml. FreeBSD was full on pozzed by socjus.

I'm using something else user.

Because Freedos, the patricians choice.

I couoldn't get the nvidia drivers to work, tried 2 times already and yes I've read the docs about it.

Heh, maybe I'll give it another shot soon. Thanks user

> You have to type console commands to change the background.
No, thanks.

No Vulkan support on novidia so i can't work on my engine.

I use jetrains products that do not work on bads too wel.
Also CoC.

Why aren't you? Why are you shilling it with vm screenshot instead of actually using it?

Use it for 6+ years and you'll know

You first. That image screams virtual machine.

>firefox and konsole open
>3 gig ram
very efficient

>explain why you not using FreeBSD 12
why would I?

I don't have time to show off by running a FreeBSD with GUI in a VM. I do real work, where 99.9% of all Linux OS don't have a GUI.

cuck os

Drivers, including the bbswitch kernel module

/thread

Explain why I'd use it over Gentoo and Open/NetBSD besides "meme" argument first.

Comes with plasma 5.14.x

my novidya doesnt support it.

t. zoomer that lacks a sense of irony

It's not Free and in Freedom

Attached: rms.jpg (400x326, 20K)

just checked, very comfy.
i'll mess around with it.

Cause xubuntu just works and I'd rather be learning programming and having a life

Attached: IMG_1140.jpg (250x229, 10K)

Nvidia has drivers for FreeBSD.

>using linux
>xubuntu
Enjoy your screen tearing
>programming
>thinks have a life
You're just a boomer neckbeard, user.

Couldn't agree more, I stopped hopping distros a while ago and settled on comfy Ubuntu 18.04.
At least now I get work done that's not related to ricing yet another aspect of a never perfect set-up

I've been thinking about triple-booting fedora, freeBSD, and win 7 but I'm too fucking lazy.

No gaymes, horrible battery optimization, no track point©®™ support, and bsd is not fucking made for desktop usage. There's a reason none of them give a shit about graphics performance or suspending on a closed leptop lid.

this post is fake
kde doesnt work on bsd.

Bad bait user

that looks a lot like linux

because the project leader is not a raging security autist who hate sjws and roast peoples in mailing lists

plasma 5 on freebsd is a broken mess because it's an incredibly early version of plasma. gnome, lightweight DE's and window managers run fine though

this is so fucking based, i came

bluetooth
less polished than a linux distro

I already tried to use it, it didn't work and my hardware is too new

because.... I work for a living and value my time??

Just werks on my machine and is not a "eeeeaaarrlllyyy" version of plasma.

Attached: Screenshot_20190403_185128.png (1280x720, 201K)

because I am using debian and OpenBSD

OpenBSD is a meme
>Filesystem
default FS doesn't even support SSD TRIM, and I don't think OpenBSD supports anything modern like ZFS or BTRFS.
>Security
"Only two remote holes in the default install!!!!!!!"
Yay!
I hope you realize that this literally only applies to a base system install with absolutely no packages added. In other words, not exactly representative or meaningful towards... anything really
>Sustainability
A few years ago, OpenBSD was actually in danger of shutting down because they couldn't keep the fucking lights on. How could anyone see this as a system they could rely on, when it could be in danger of ending at any time?
>Standards-compliance
"B-But OpenBSD is written in strictly standards-compliant C! Clearly that's better than muh GNU virus!"
So you're not allowed to create extensions to the standard? You should only implement the standard and nothing more? Keep in mind that this is nothing like EEE, as the GNU extensions are Free Software, with freely available source code, as opposed to proprietary shite. People should be allowed to innovate and improve things.
If you're gonna be anal about standards-compliance, then why let people make their own implementations anyway? Why not have the standards organizations make one C implementation and force everyone to use it?

thx for the pasta
both suit my needs the best as far as workload is regarded, so need to switch

Because I like giving nonconsentual virtual hugs.

I can't open my BTRFS LUKS partition on it.

>btrfs
Enjoy your corruption

Because it wouldn't know what the fuck to do with my hardware

I have a job.

I am not a tranny

Couldn't get wifi to work during installation. I'm not interested in spending 2+ hours just to install an OS.

Because I'm perfectly happy with Ubuntu.

>implying you need 2+ hours to install FreeBSD
This is not gentoo, fag
