What's the best way to cut through a metal computer case?
I have some Fractal Design case, and the hole in the back (for mounting on the CPU cooler's backplate) is too small.
I'm going crazy and don't want to do anything other than cut a big enough hole there so the backplate will mount correctly. Any tips?

Dremels work pretty well for small cuts
Protip: if no toolz/skillz - get someone else to do it, you'll (almost certainly) make a mess without some practice first.
waterjet if you can access one. otherwise, drill a hole and stick the blade of a hacksaw through.

It's the back window on the case. I guess the case designers thought my mobo should be smaller? But the case is huge af, it sucks.

What said. Remove it, install the entire cooler, reinstall the mobo. Though it does look like the backplate might touch the case, it will probably not be a problem.
Here is an idea
Take out the motherboard mountethe cooler plate and cooler and the put the motherboard back in

Well, sucks to be you. You have to take the mobo out anyway. If you cut the case you'll get shrapnel on the mobo which will kill it if you don't. Have fun.
