Sometimes I load a page and all the ads actually load - then a few seconds later they suddenly disappear as if they never loaded at all. But I saw it, they loaded. Pls explain this. Sometimes it seems more like uHide Origin to me.
Are we sure that uBlock Origin doesn't merely hide ads?

short explanation:
plug-ins like ad-blockers work by removing, well, the ads from the page. it will first need to load before it can be removed.
trackers are a different story, but that is because they can only track once the script is already loaded.
if you see ads, it can be that your browser has them cached before you began using it, or any other problem. you can check whether trackers still work via the development tools.

You have to disable pre-fetching which will make browsing slow as fuck. You can have either privacy or speed, not both. Pick one. If you already did that, it's probably because they're generic cosmetic filters which are executed after the page loads: github.com
