That looks like a Mac with a skid mark on it that's also in the process of being taken apart into 3 pieces. Smooth, black box or gtfo.

Fuck, and the tumor on the left looks like one of those stupid wine coolers Rick people have. It legit looks like a child's kitchen play set for ultra rich families.

that's a big case

Tiny. Doesn't even fit 4 GPUs.

Would buy simply for the space 2bh.

29kg empty weight

this, it's like some modern kitchen appliance. Definitely not ugly but very out of place.

Nice espresso machine

How much is that in real money

Drop in the bucket compared to the 4 nVidia Titan RTX, 128 GiB ECC RAM and 4 TiB Enterprise SSD that will be installed in mine.

and i rather have a custom build one by caselabs (RIP) than this fucking ugly microwave/oven/fridge combo shit

That looks something you'd see in kitchen.

It's perfect for a i9900k + Navi 7 combo. Imagine the cakes you could bake in there

Thank drumpf for killing the aluminium industry

I'm pretty sure the "NVIDIA" employees would write it in all caps unless they're really old school

Can Thermaltake design anything these days that doesn't give you eye cancer just from looking at it?

I'm getting one too once I can get the money.

My FreeNAS is using this with 15 drives + an ssd cheekily mounted to the side of the case internally with one of the empty screw holes, good case and I'll buy another for freenas 2.0

I did take the front off though since I don't have a real rack yet, but all the parts are in a ziplock bag for when I do buy a real rack + rails.

Shelf unit is fine imo. Weight would theain concern.

each shelf is rated at 350lbs so I'm good there. the issue is what happens when I need to do maintenance on the bottom r710.....

I cant shut it off and upgrade its ram without taking down the whole cluster until I get rapid rails and it just slides out own its own. Its on my to-do list this year.

Isn't that a little loud user

WHAT?

its actually fine r710s aren't loud at all, the r410 is set at 4k rpm via a racadm script I only have to run on power loss, not reboot, and the quanta lb4m and lb6m have 47ohm resistors wired into the 3 fans in the back so they are whisper quiet.

I haven't actually powered on the lb4m yet because I'm lazy, but I want to move all my idrac and various ethernet off the 8 port switch up top and make some proper vlans.

Here's a script that will make your servers quiet. Not my problem if they overheat etc:
#!/usr/bin/env bash
# IPMI SETTINGS:
# Modify to suit your needs.
IPMIHOST=
IPMIUSER=
IPMIPW=

echo "Setting fan speeds to 4k RPM"
ipmitool -I lanplus -H $IPMIHOST -U $IPMIUSER -P $IPMIPW raw 0x30 0x30 0x01 0x00
ipmitool -I lanplus -H $IPMIHOST -U $IPMIUSER -P $IPMIPW raw 0x30 0x30 0x02 0xff 0x1a

I, myself have the Mercury S8 for 4 years or so. It was great when I bought it because you could put in a big custom water cooled system. But their cases did in no way evolve over the time. People started building these small air cooled miniITX systems which are quiet and as fast as a big tower. Until the last day they had no case that was small, functional and optimized for air cooling. All they did was making these fucking huge cases for 500$+. I seriously doubt that this had anything to do with the tariffs. This was all because of mismanagement and they took it as an excuse.

is your room warmer than the rest of the house?

Its fine in the winter but summer here is hell because my AC is broken. I'm moving in ~2 months and when I move the server rack is going in a 2nd bedroom so I can isolate it from the rest of the apt. Servers dont seem to have any issue running in ~95f heat though, it just makes me wana die. "this is fine etc"

I rest my feet on the server rack knowing full well that I haven't anchored it to the wall constantly.

nobody ever said I was a smart man is all I'll say.
