THEN CONSIDER THIS...
F6 or ctrl+L or alt+d to highlight the webrowser url
it literally isn’t since the window for closing the tab through the middle click is like twice the size unless you have 50 tabs open
This is pretty ancient, but most of them probably work (bash)

In OpenBSD which uses ksh as the default shell I type "bind" in a terminal to get a readout of all keyboard shortcuts, and "set -o" to show which settings are enabled (eg vi or emacs). "set -o " toggles the option on or off. Can someone test these on a Linux (bash)?
AH
AHHHHHHHHHH
Damn I never knew that. Thank you based OP

and ctrl shift pgup/pgdn to move tabs
>idiots using ctrl+alt+del to get to Task Manager
>ctrl+shift+esc exists.
if your machine is running unstable you are more likely to get a response from ctrl+alt+del, see:
en.wikipedia.org
So, basically, Emacs.
that's irrelevant for most of my use cases since I usually just want to check what's using the network or force close a program.
Based and fishpilled
ctrl alt esc defocuses the current window and sends it to the back
easiest way to impress normies: do all the standard browser tasks without leaving the keyboard
>Middle click and pull the mouse down to scroll a web page
>page up and page down to scroll
>middle click a link opens in new tab
>middle click refresh duplicates tab
>middle click back opens in new tab
>middle click view image opens in new tab
Ctrl+X then F autocompletes file paths in VIM
I just do a full middle click and move the mouse
_ gives you the return value of the previous statement in python
cntrl w is better than cntrl tab. You weren't coming back to that anyway don't pretend you were.
>be me
>use ctrl + number for tab switching

I rebinded the keys but I felt disgusted.

CTRL-Left Click also works the same. I use it when I'm on a laptop without a mouse.
this has been a feature in web browsers since tabs first appeared in Firefox in the mid to late 2000s, fucking pathetic braindead zoomers
It's a meme you fucking retard. The point is to get (You)'s like you so easily handed out

Middle Trackpad button is still "Mousewheel-click"
Please press "Mousewheel-click" power button on your pc and close this tab
>current year
>chrome still cannot into duplicating tabs via ctrl + drag n drop
Literally why in the fuck would you ever use that function.
Because that's how it was since forever in any modern browser.
And if you refer to duplicating tabs in general, if you don't need it, don't use it, faggot.
OpenBSD is a meme, install 9front
If you're moving the mouse there anyway, the travel distance to duplicate it is pretty negligible – it's the third menu option. If at all, Firefox was missing that menu option for the longest time.
Edge/IE don't support that gesture either.
That's my point, nobody needs it. It's useless bloat.
Fuck you OP. I accidentally mmb on a very important tab today, just a few hours after reading your shitpost.
>fuck you I'm retarded
Yeah using hotkeys is so clumsy I'd rather use menus too.
>since tabs first appeared in Firefox
Fucking idiot. Opera had tabs before Firefox.
Ctrl+shift+t dumpass
Ctrl+W to close a tab
Ctrl+Tab to move a tab forward
Ctrl+Shift+Tab to move a tab backward
