Well...they is alternative GPD product you could look into if you want to keep the cost down a bit (just need to know what you're actually going to use it for really). Also, they is the rumor GPD Win2 Max which have announced few days ago which might drop the cost of the GPD Win 2 a bit. Link below of the info.

People are asking a lot of money for this UMPC and I don't tend to find them in the 2nd hand market at a reasonable price range (and still working without any issue).
Not high enough. Always want the Kohjinsha DZ but can't found one till I manage to get one from Japan at decent price (sold as JUNK). Shipping cost isn't cheap but worth it.
Basically a 3DSXL grip break it into two half and slap in underneath the GPD Win 1. Work quite well when gaming for long period of time.

If the Win2 drops to ~550 that's total impulse buy money for me, 700+ is just far enough outside of it for me to convince myself i don't need it.

Then wait till GPD Win 2 Max come out and wait for people who already own Win 2 to sell it off and you might get it cheaper in the 2nd hand. Won't say it will be $500 cheap in 2nd hand but it's something to consider.
Either way, for the current price, it won't make sense.
