wow finally I can stare at the wall behind my TV

it means you don't have to put it on a wall, retard

>can turn opaque/transparent at will
why would they give a tv free will?

Why not?

as opposed to regular tvs which by law you are required to put on a wall, retard

no retard, you put a tv against a wall because you don't usually want to visually separate your room and block the view.

someone should visually seperate you out of the room

People have been promising transparent tv sets for years and years and it's never turned into something you can actually buy and it never ever will.

you sound like a retard. OLED was practically made for this.

>TV screen that can turn opaque/transparent at will

The next gimmick to dupe the dumb goyim.

It's not a question of feasibility. Of course you can just put an OLED panel in front of an all black LCD panel. The view behind the screen might not exactly be clear enough to use the screen as a window, but that's not why they won't sell it. The reason they won't sell it is because it's a nice thing and we can't have nice things anymore.

What is lcd without backlight unit.
Zoomer and toddlers nowadays lacks of creativity and imagination that this is already science fiction to them.
What a sad time to be alive.

>OLED panel in front of an all black LCD panel.
are you retarded?
> The view behind the screen might not exactly be clear enough to use the screen as a window
did you watch any of the videos in OP?

>What is lcd without backlight unit.
only 10% transparency. watch the video, brainlet.

which game is it with the Day Of the Dead scene?

Are you? People aren't going to buy a TV set they have to put a boring black backdrop behind to see anything on the screen (unless they're rich and just want to show off). OLEDS are transparent when black, LCDs are transparent when white (or off). The oled panel can show all the information, but it needs something to block out the background when the screen is on. For that, one could use an LCD panel that only displays black (because it doesn't need to display any colors, the oled panel takes care of that). You don't need a lot of pixels either, even one big one would be fine assuming it clears out of the way when off. It's the LCD back that provides in home usability, and makes it not exactly usable as a window.

>they have to put a boring black backdrop behind to see
again you mongoloid, click the second link in OP. that is not necessary

>have friends
>"Hey come over lets watch a movie!"
>"user, are you sure? you invited 20 people! We will never fit!"
>"Just you watch"
>put TV in the middle
>sit in circle and watch from all sides

>fiction is real
wew lad

>clicking links on g
are you a retard

This is what 2-sided TVs are for

See-through screens are used in sci-fi shit cuz they look cool, like HollywoodOS on computers. You're not supposed to actually use this impractical pointless shit.

>by law
Which shithole do you live in?

There's no way anyone here has 20 friends.

kek

>watching a movie from behind the tv
>all scenes are flipped, can't read any word on screen

It only matters for text though. I guess that makes it impractical fdor anime, but other than that there is not much text in videos.

US

Let me guess, the contrast ratio sucks ass. In an OLED display. Wow, what a groundbreaking technology.

It’s designed for shops and display windows rather than home use you absolute brainlet

Filename should've been windows.jpg

>watching a movie from the side
>only see a thin line
