I have a friend that works over at Fred Hutch doing cancer research (Car-T cell immunotherapy) and he had his Mac "hacked". He basically went on some site, got key logged, and then got a popup. He called the number on the popup and some Indian wanted him to pay $150 to fix his computer. He came to me later and asked me to help fix it, I installed maleware bytes and removed all the shit trojans. He said he would have paid the man money if it wasn't too much.
