>tfw wanted RN7Pro
No global version

>tfw wanted Mi 9 SE
Global version doesnt have the B2(1900)

The A50 looks interesting but might as well wait for something better.

Like notchless and UD fingerprint scanner. Like the one on the OP

Any other recommendation?

Mi8 or Mix 2S? They're around the same price as the Mi9 SE (~300€)

Anyone try the g8? The air feature looks cool, ive been wondering if its as finnicky as every youtuber is complaining about

what's a good phone for recording concerts?

Terrible

Just got myself a OP5
>capacitive button
>3.5mm jack, USB C dashcharge
>no notch
>amoled display
>physical volume toggle switch
>decent battery
Missing the SD card slot but that's the least of my concerns

Attached: 1500840209383.gif (160x224, 242K)

No OIS, which the 2, 3 and 3t have

Gross, no thanks

can someone recommend me a phone with an unlocked bootloader than will work on freedom mobile in canada?

iPhone XR / XS / XS Max, Galaxy S10/S10+, LG V40

>LG V40
youtube.com/watch?v=bqnvGmJ4hVE

how does this compare to samsung? for some reason the p30 pro records red tinted video and there's no fix for it yet.

This thread has some concert videos recorded with a S10:
forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-s10-s10-plus/937865-do-you-think-s10-will-able-record-loud-concerts-without-distorting.html

hmm the concert videos seemed oversharpened to me. is this normal?

I got a XZ1 Compact right now but getting real frustrated with the bad LineageOS support and its fragileness.

Is there any sturdy phone out there with decent camera and good LineageOS support?

Attached: 1542517748373.jpg (1080x1080, 88K)

budget?

>decent camera and good lineageOS support

These are usually mutually exclusive. You lose the manufacturer camera libraries on AOSP custom ROMs, which results in bad picture quality.

alright, but Lineage support is the priority, then.

>You lose the manufacturer camera libraries on AOSP custom ROMs
True on Samsung and Sony, not true on OnePlus, Pixel, Xiaomi and many others. Not to forget that GCam exists and will take better photos than stock on most phones.

How is an xz1 fragile? Its plastic body is fantastic and it has gorilla glass 5. Don't drop your phones

Pocophone

Who cares about the camera desu, he prob got it for 300$

hey this looks nice, thanks

no budget. ideally i'd just grab an s10+ but their bootloader is locked and the exynos or hong kong SD855 ones are missing bands. 3rd parties are also unable to provide bootloader unlock codes for huawei phones since last aug or something. the pixel seemed like a good choice but i've read complaints about a plethora of things. even technigger wasn't happy with it.

Hey that was my idea

My settings menu (when you swipe down on android) turned gray and blue for some gay ass reason, used to be a brighter colour and its fucking annoying how do I change it back? It just changed when I swiped down one day

OP6T (though at this point I'd wait for OP7 instead)

to be fair this shit activated my almonds, seems decent, I never had been so hyped about a botnet device since the OG Galaxy S
>non removable battery
to the trash it goes

Apparently the samsung a60 is coming in 17 of April in china and global release due to the fcc listing.

In to the trash go all the phones released after the V20 then as well.

Slightly used Nokia 9 for 400? It has a 2 year warranty on top

Good deal or not? Its only 1/3 off so Im skeptical

I'm trying to flash custom ROM to an old phone.
The issue, is GAPPS still give Error 70 (insufficient memory to install) even after using the smallest package.
Are there other custom ROMS with smaller gapps?

Attached: Baseball-Girl-EroFigure-Ripping-Shirt-1.jpg (533x800, 44K)

Try nano or pico gapps or better yet microG if you have an old phone.

>nano or pico gapps
I did still not enough space, and I even flashed Omni ROM.
>MicroG
Doesn't provide the playstore, and the google play services aren't compatible with many applications.

>tfw you replace the screen protector on your phone and it looks brand new

Attached: 1527764820390s.jpg (250x242, 7K)

>nano or pico gapps
>I did still not enough space
Just give up or try the two microG apps and see if those install.
>Doesn't provide the playstore
I mean, if your phone doesn't have enough space to flash gapps, maybe you should use Aurora Store as a replacement.
>and the google play services aren't compatible with many applications.
Sure, that's what microG is for. I'm not sure about that wording though.

I have one of these arriving tomorrow. Is Lineage a meme? Everyone I know with a Xiaomi phone doesn't mind MIUI.

Attached: 20180716151419_29740.jpg (1000x1000, 145K)

>two microG
what? you mean the google play service and fake store?

if unlimited budget and you need a hp jack, rog phone.

Yeh way down on the list of must haves, but very high on the why-on-earth-did-they-remove-it list. I'm tempted by one too

I mean the MicroG isn't compatible with many applications.

have one for ~4 months, 8/256 version

running xiaomi.eu stable rom w/ nova launcher works really great, have no complaints

was thinking about flashing pixel experience rom, but with how this rom works, don't have a reason to try anything else

just my 2c

Just read.
microg.org/download.html

>Services Core
This is the palyservices
>Services Framework Proxy
What does this do?
>Store (FakeStore release)
Play store alternative?
>DroidGuard Helper
Is this like play guard?
>UnifiedNlp
No clue what does this do?
Do I need to install all of these?

youtu.be/hNPxVaFnYX4
You shouldn't have to install anything extra if you're using OmniRom.

What are you looking for in a phone?

gee we can totally help you with the mountain if information you gave us

>You shouldn't have to install anything extra if you're using OmniRom
Well, the ROM doesn't have any gapps, also it's 4.4.4, so I don't know if this makes a difference.

Doesn't explain shit.
>JUST DO WHAT I'M DOING.
>also recommending yalp store.

Are there any recent phones where the screen aspect ratio is more towards 4:3 or 16:10? Looking for something I can put between a clamp style BT controller for game/emulation handheld

Dont know

This isn't A.I. programming, go read the microG XDA thread, you don't really need to be spoonfed. This isn't difficult.

as in for this thing. looking for something so I can get a bit more screen in without it being so wiiiide

Razr phone?
They are bricks

How do you think the new SD 730 in this A80 will compare to the 800 series SDs.

I'm currently on an Exynos Note 8 (8895) which I think was the same gen as the SD 835.

This A80 is a cool fucking phone... I'd actually consider jumping down to the mid range but I'd like to know how itll stack up compared to my current phone.

Talk me into upgrading from Nexus 5

>talk a retarded luddite into following progress
kys and don't kmp instead

Help

All I want is a fast daily driver with a good display. I dont take photos THAT often but good camera is always a plus.

Goddammit, 400 is stretching my budget hard.
>1440p oled
>SD845
>128gb
>6GB ram
>Decent camera
Just tell me if its good value

been trying to get rid of my Mi A2 for a few weeks now and no offers except for nigerian scammers on gumtree.
Is more than £150 unreasonable for a used chinkphone? I know that you can get a new one for that much but that's with sales I think?

These chinkphones devaluate as soon as you fucking buy them

Attached: chinkshit.png (1517x674, 224K)

>any recent phones
>4:3 or 16:10
No, doesn't exist, even 16:9 phones have almost all disappeared

>buying a used chinkphone
Do people like this even exist?

Looking at the benchmarks the SD730 has SD845 level CPU performance but a weaker GPU. Check these videos for Antutu and Geekbench scores of the A80:

Good deal , buy it

It's a good deal

What are the J and A series in samsung?
What's the difference?

Attached: 1554821262622.jpg (640x640, 56K)

Nigga it's £120 off AliExpress and £150 off Amazon UK, used it's probably worth £100.

j is no longer

J series used to be the budget phone series and A was the midrange phones. Samsung just killed off the J series though, now there's only A series and it covers budget phones and midrange phones.

And S is the high end?
So what makes the Note series? S with Pen?

>And S is the high end?
Yeah

>So what makes the Note series? S with Pen?
Pretty much yeah. The Note usually comes with some small improvements over the S series (slightly better cameras and display, more RAM and storage), but S Pen is the biggest difference.

So the S series is the beta tester for the Note series?

Phone isnt that old and warranty transfers so

i paid like £215 in september. what a meme

i want a burner phone for tinder

would a $70 prepaid android smartphone do?

Attached: 1524924069331.jpg (513x448, 23K)

Why not one for 10$m

Yes

>Current Version: 10.12.0
>Size: 20M
>Requires Android: 5.0 and up
Even a rather old used one should do the job.

S are flagships while Note are premium or hyper flagships, both high end but one line a bit more luxurious than the other.

Yeah but note is not as popular because its xbox huge

Am I retarded for planning to get a Mi Mix 3 5G for $680 USD?

Its one of the only newer phones with a back fingerprint scanner, it doesn't have any motors that will die over time or from a drop, the specs are phenomenal, and the battery is massive with a super efficient SD855 for the size.
I don't ever plan on using 5G which is which is what I assume the huge battery is for, so wouldn't I just get god tier battery life for no drawbacks?
I know shit is overpriced for the 5G aspect, but the whole reason I'm getting it over the normal MM3 is the battery because the specs are enough to hold me over for the next 5 years

You should wait few months after release for price to drop and or stabilize
Resellers are inflating the prices of xiaomi phones becuse xiaomi cant produce enough units

Well you're conveniently skirting around the whole slider thing reliability, so yes.

Imagine it catching even a couple grains of sand or it constantly gatheing your pocket lint

Not him, but is there any sort of release date planned or is xiaomi just silent about it?

Everyphone devalues the second you buy it. Literally search on ebay and click sold/completed listings and take off 13.5% of the sale price and that's a rough guide to stick it on gumtree/shpock or whatever. And less to reflect the buyer coming to you to pay cash to save you the hassle of going outside to a post office. And further less to reflect that there's no come back after it's bought. Sellers just seem to see the price of ads that have been up for months and wonder why their shit don't sell.

Get a case for it and say bye to lineagepoos

Probably in may or early june(mix2s was released in late April ) since mix 4 gonna get released as all mixes in November

You mean grindr right?

s10 e 128 being sold in my country for 400usd. yay or nay ?

It was like 750 at the release
Something is wrong about that phone if price plummet that fast that much

Best att or tmoble phone for around 150-200, thanks!

$100 budget, buying a phone for a kid. Recommend me something Jow Forums.

what country / carrier?

The creator of the rom doesn't mention anything about lack of storage space?
Usually they address the problem and provide a work-around. Even if they don't I'm sure there must be something about it on the phone section of XDA?

A dumbphone.

As long as it supports North American GSM bands it's fine. As for carrier, probably be some random GSM MVNO for all I know.

Moto X4 for $149 or G7 Power for $199

Dont buy your kids mobile phone before they turn 14

They already have one, it's dying.

6 months and they'll be that age, I'm rounding up.

Knowing kids, they'll probably want something with a LOT of space, so be sure to either get something with more than 10GB storage or a SD Card slot.

I buy to my kids whatever the fuck I want.
