No, Windows 7 was. I say this as someone who used every version of Windows since 3.11 (except Vista and 8), and has been using Linux as my main OS for a few years now.

>Was
No, is.

>proprietary
>universal backdoor
>non-POSIX
>limited memory
>no package manager
>no good shell
>kernel can't imstall drivers automatically
Why was it good?

Why didnt he feel nostalgia with windows me and tons of windows before it then.
Dont just seething winblows 10 zoomer
We just known something far more superior to anything you ever known.

It was good for its time but the world moves on.

This is partially why
>kernel can't imstall drivers automatically
If you cannot make good kernel that can install driver probably just dont do it at all.
Most manufacturer driver for windows is bloated. There is nothing worse than automatically install these bloated packages. Manually bloated can ne avoided easily.

Performance-wise. No other system can beat it, specially before SP3.

8.1 was 7 but better. If you don't agree you are objectively and measurably wrong.

Yep I agree 8.1 is much better.
If yoi can bear metro you can always switch back to classic shell

You know what a kernel module is, right? Modular. So don't be stupid.

2000 is quite nice for what it is

I will tell you... How he lived.

>but the world moves on
To shit, yeah.

>xp
>not even the best OS on its prime

2.1 was better.
Upgrading from 2.0 via floppies however, was a chore and a half.
