The LED is cheaper.

Welcome to the year of our waifu 2007+12.
Getting the same RAM I have now (same clock, timings, etc) but without RGB would have costed me literally more than 100€ more than just getting the RGB one and turning it off.

Different heat sink design, different performance.
Evo and X version is better.

It means people will buy it since it's cheaper. Then other people will see their computer lighting and think that it looks neat. That way they can add lights to other products and sell them as a premium product.

Nobody wants red LEDs on their heatsink because they'll make it hotter

they make it hotter but also it also gives you faster speeds. Its a trade off every user has to personally consider

bought a couple of these on ebay for 12€ new each, cheapest 212 evo cost over 20

>what is economics of scale

Led is non Evo and doesn't support 2066

Economies of scale, RGB is popular so they make more LED fans and by an extension those fans are cheaper to make because they make so many.

>take out led lights
>return
>make money
Should've done this user. Ez cash

The ride never ends user.

cheapest case on amazon was like 20 bucks back when I bought mine. came with LED fans and a panel window.

i stopped questioning these things. I imagine at the end of the day cheap ass PC equipment is marketed like a toy.

>Save $2
>Reg $36.99
>Save $4
>Reg $36.99
Do you not understand how sales work?

i dont think you understand how sales work

buy high sell low

i'd pay $10 more to not have rgb faggotry in my case
