well they obviously didn't get hacked because it's not green text on a black

>all user data including password hashes and private messages leaked
not so private now are we?

Yep they got fucked by running jenkins. Never install Java on your os.

nope, everything encrypted e2e wasn't leaked.

Wasn't it supposed to be secure and shit?

Lol riotToddlers btfo. Discord wins again.

No

You cant lose your privacy if you have none to begin with

kek wordpress website

>not running your own instance
Get fucked poorfags.

As much as Windows is shitting me off with terribad update quality, honestly centralising accounts with Active Directory still seems miles above what everyone ends up doing with batches of Linux production servers and SSH access for developers.
In this case, they used ssh-agents which are apparently a bigger issue than I realised as their solution.

>cat | grep
It's insult to injury

>matrix gets hacked
>ids get leaked
>discord gets hacked
>all your messages are now public

Literally hacked by amateurs.

Good thing i tested the service with dummy pseudo and dummy password. Good to know i shouldn't trust them as i was on yhe verge of pushing it into my friend circle. We'll stick to signal for now

>user names and bcrypted passwords
No need to worry if you have a strong and secure (not already leaked) password.

Name one time Discord got hacked. Because I can name two times Matrix got hacked: yesterday.

Brainlet who knows nothing about security here. Do most attacks like these (in which the attackers gains access to some servers and steals hashed passwords, etc.) happen because the victim is using an outdated version of some program with security vulnerabilities known to the public? I read on matrix.org's blog that this happened because they were using an outdated version of Jenkins.

yes and if you read the issues the hacker posted on github you'll see that all he exploited was very basic misconfiguration stuff

Looks like a sysadmin got fired yesterday.
It was human mistake, CVEs HAVE TO be fixed even in restricted networks.

>no, use sed.
fuck off.

promoted to customer meme

retard

No retard, he's saying to use:
grep arathorn users.txt | head -n1

Grep can read from files just fine, no reason to pipe the data.

>discord is unhackable
lmaoing @ this retard

grep -m1 arathorn users.txt

And grep can limit output just fine too, no reason to pipe to head either.

E2E encryption prevents conversations from being leaked even in cases like this, it's the whole point & what makes it secure. Reminder that Discord still does not have this and likely never will because security is not important to the target audience.

Discord already sell everything to who the fuck has money, hacking discord is worthless as you won't be able to sell anything to anyone.

How be good security admin
