when you read communism, you are reading christianity
---in other words, a counterrevolutionary and conformist ideology fabricated by the roman empire.
i suggest you read hindu or jewish philosophy instead.

How come desktop threads are getting more interesting?
People seem to be using their imagination more
A couple of years ago everyone just had the same old shit on their desktops as everyone else and DT threads were boring. These days they look more interesting

its the same shit dingus

>haha guys I was only pretending to be a terrorist

bigger borders*

Astolfo is bad, Fate is bad in general
Looks boring and inoffensive otherwise. Generic flat shit like most of the other stuff in these threads.
Boring
Can't say I'm a fan of the harsh greens
Ditto, but classy otherwise
I like that classic Stereo logo on the album cover. Looks very 60s.
Your color scheme reminds me of those really gay mechanical keyboards though
Le boring flat meme
Le boring flat meme
Your icons remind me of stickers for preschool children
Work on that color scheme

The best window manager is JWM. If you never tried JWM (or its nearest replacement, TWM), you don't know what it means for a window manager to be powerful and lightweight. Once you try JWM, you will see what other window managers are lacking and you'll never go back.

Unlike most window managers today, which are focused on tiling and other gimmicks, JWM provides an extremely well structured config file that is very easy to modify especially since the defaults are self explanatory and its documentation is top notch. In addition to this, JWM ditches all extra plugins others have like CPU/Memory meter, themes etc. and lets the user build everything needed from ground up and the only one remaining is the pager and the motif outlining which is not even a theme.

Thus, rather than focusing on autism like: compile from source, 1GB extra haskell dependency, gaps, KDE/Gnome integration, necessary high learning curve and gayland compatibility; JWM provides a clean, up-to-date, window managing environment with low memory usage that is truly suckless and puts the power user first by letting it to change everything the WM has to offer in an easy and short way.

What document program is that?
What image viewer is that?

Also, what's that custom css you use for Jow Forums? Could you share it?

nice! ill try that out
thanks user !

yeah of course , but in regular use i always use the maximum size thanks to i3 because i desperately need space given my shitty resolution
But then again i'm not going to use the terminal intensively anything anytime soon , i'm a med student ... i just open normie software .I just have linux because i'm a hippie desperate for attention desu

hi,
what's it like to have only one monitor

Attached: aprildesktop.jpg (4050x2224, 2.21M)

i'd be interested to see some charts and graphs of your eye attention and also actual window display work being done on those monitors over the course of the day. do you actually effectively use all of them or do you mainly just focus on just 2 ala one for main use, one for media(irc/youtube/etc), one for sysadmin shit, one for games? i dunno. i only have ever had one monitor and only want two so i can flip it and use it to read books on.

Yeah, sure looks like it.
Typical.
Le boring flat meme with obnoxiously sized bars that waste space
Puke green borders is not "pretty good"
Boring
Le boring flat meme and reminiscent of the godawful hotdog stand color scheme

Best one yet

whats gpog on fags

Attached: lens.png (1471x1283, 817K)

This looks pretty inconvenient desu, the boring colours must get old after a while.

Here's a typical setup:
Documentation on the left
Code on the bottom
Compiler, debugger, or design application on the top,
Test-run, references, to-do list and/or chat/Skype/slack/etc on the right

It's basically just a very large tiling setup (I use kwin but with scripted tiling shortcuts, used to use xmonad and might go back but that's another story)

My monitors are very old. I'd like to switch to one or two large monitors down the road that have higher pixel density and similar physical area to my combined screens.

Here's another scenario to show you how this actually gets used:
Virtual machine on one screen for testing solution,
Remote computer over vnc/rdp on another screen to enact solution,
Two other screens for things like googling/reading docs, video chat, and terminal.

yawn

but user that is literally linux

nice dude! looks comfy as hell
I wish that terminal had even more info so i can yoink your setup :)

this is what i wanted to see. very nice. wish i had walls made of various size monitors.

>when I look at my desktop i want my brain to be flooded with dopamine so I become desensitized to this feeling even further
This is the dumbest execution of any concept I've come across in a while. user can't even use a desktop without contributing to his brain damage.

true
I miss fullbutts linux desktops

Kill yourself, leftypol

Your desktop screams "depression", "sadness" and "loner", my friend. Do you want to talk about it?

>hey u got the font to work. how?
I put the bdf files in /usr/local/share/fonts
ran dpkg-reconfigure fontconfig-config to enable buttmap fonts
then chmod 644 * that fonts folder
then mkfontdir that folder
then xset fp+ that folder
then xset fp rehash
then put those last 3 commands in my .xinitrc just before the xrdb .Xresources
everything justwerked

oh yeah and after enabling the buttmap fonts i ran "fc-cache" forgot that part
