Do you still use a CRT monitor, if so, why?

The primary reason being that they took up a shitload of space, and the fact that normal people don't give a fuck about image quality (proof here being the objectively garbage LCDs that most people replaced them with).

This. Plus they are heavy as fuck and not easily shipped. Back when LCDs ubiquitously replaced CRTs was no value in reselling them so everyone just threw them out myself included.

Yes I do, because I play a lot of Counterstrike, and I like the low input lag. Also it makes me feel nostalgic for the good old days.

I plugged it in a year ago for fun, and games felt so much smoother I ended up keeping it. It replaced a Dell Ultrasharp.

It's absolute shit for text and the colors are washed out but video looks great on it because of the instant pixel response and because of the way neighboring pixels gradually transition from one color to the next instead of having a sharp cutoff.

I HAVE one. I rarely use it, though. Mostly because it doesn't fit in the space very well.

Yes, because they have better colors and are easier to repair (for me at least). Also, they don't hurt my eyes like LCD/LED/OLED monitors.

I use CRTs on my shitbox bench since they're workable at any common resolution, but I usually pair my more prized hoarding artifacts with a matching LCD panel whenever possible. CRTs are too obnoxious to move and take up too much space even on my huge ass desk.

That's what I'm talking about. Look at that image: deep-set storage rack and the keyboard's still hovering over the edge with the bottom of the monitor hovering inches above it.
CRTs have nice picture quality, but they just aren't practical.

I find them more relaxing, warmer, and feel good. The x-rays stimulate my prefrontal cortex too. The end result is much less desire to look at pornography, which helps me remain celibate and chaste.

I only use a crt tv for old consoles like the ps2 for time crisis 1 and 2 and to play nes and saturn games. I used to have a pc crt (ibm something, high quality model, got it brand new off craigslist factory sealed). I used it for retro games but eventually threw it away because it took half of my desk space, was a power hog and the image looked as good or even nicer on a 5$ lcd dell monitor

Those who choose to use CRTs use it because they think it's better for some reason, it's not a question of being able to afford it or not. They've just got different preferences.

What framerate do you get? The old ultrasharps like the 2410 and 2312hm had shit response times so it's no wonder a CRT feels better. 144hz freesync monitors are like $150 nowadays and are objectively superior
