It doesn't seem smart to put a web browser in the UEFI / BIOS
It better br Chrome.
its msi what do you expect
Zawinski's law of software envelopment:
Every program attempts to expand until it can read mail. Those programs which cannot so expand are replaced by ones which can.
>he doesn't email himself BIOS updates
pleb
why
it's fucking great
You don't need OS to browse Facebook now
You don't need OS to shitpost on Jow Forums now
Browser vulns will lead to UEFI exploitation.
Maybe so that people can look up guides on how to set stuff up if they are new to building. I guess.
God this makes me mad. I am still mad about being about to flash update bios for the os and all the exploits that caused.
Does that mean I can play browser-based games without an OS?
Soon you wont even need an OS, all processing will be done in the """cloud""" anyway.
bloat
may be they should kill themselves
Probably doesn't have flash
They removed it in.
Soon you wont even need PC, everything will be in our minds
That's scary
Good thing this isn't 2001 then and all browser games run on HTML5
And then they fucking shitting that they don't have enough space to put support for all cpus. It's not a problem for untel users dince socket a year keeps goyim in fear, but those fucktards saying that they will drop bristol ridge and some 1st gen ryzens for zen2 support even on old boards. But shitton of bmps are fine.
>MSI
kek. the first and only time I bought a motherboard from them, it would crash when i clicked on 'settings' because I wasn't using a PS/2 mouse and keyboard
UEFI was a goddamn mistake. Does anyone manufacture a legacy board these days?
What's the problem with UEFI?
You may not like it, but this is what an optimal motherboard configuration interface looks like
step aside pleb
simple and clear
I do like it and it should still be like this, I used to find everything I needed much faster in the old BIOS.
nothing, shitty manufacturers just abuse its bigger potential. lenovo uefi on thinkpads is completely reasonable for example
It boots into its own Linux distro called Winki. It's installed to the hard drive from a driver CD, so it's not even useful as an emergency OS that's always available.
It seems to allow the operating system to have too much control over the hardware.
Such a shame Express Gate didn't end up becoming a standard feature.
Literally just an integrated USB stick with linux on it.
>His UEFI is pleasant looking
Two decades old, still peak performance.
>master
>slave
Check your god damn syntax, it's 2019 you bigot.
>It doesn't seem smart to put
It is if you're a smart ass.
End yourself nigger
