I have a 1GB USB stick that a vendor left me with pdfs and videos of their products but fuck all that, I just want to use it because it looks cool. Seems to be read/write protected so I can't format and no lock switch. Any way to remove the read/write protection?

also diskpart failed to clear read/write attributes

You should probably just open it up and replace it with your own memory that's larger than 1gb

>memory
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaHHHHHHHHHHH

Try with this tool

>mynigga.exe
I did consider opening it but it's sealed up nicely. No visible seams and the case is metal.

Just realized there is another partition on here that has no protection with a few gigs. Guess It's usable but I still don't like having their shit on it. Oh well, thanks for the help Jow Forumsents

It's probably just jammed in there with some hot glue, give it hard yank and it might come out.

>mymotherfuckingnigga.exe!
You were right. I pulled the shit out of it with some needle nose pliers and it finally popped out, still works too. Thanks senpai

Format the partition table with diskpart.

I tried. I get an error on the clean command.

Ah, so it is totally encased. I bet those two metal squares on the other side are how you lock/unlock it for read write, but I can't get info on it online.

Interesting. It did come from an IT security company so that makes sense. Thanks anyways.

After you mentioned it I noticed some seams around the edges and got out the heat gun.

it looks retarded stop using it.

no it's cool

Have you tried just formatting it?
Take it out and in again?

>wintoddlers recommending pajeetware
just use gparted

yes didn't work

tried formatting on Ubuntu as well. Similar Read/Write error. May try gparted later. Thanks.

old Jow Forums used to be more like this

>Any way to remove the read/write protection?
You need to find out the manufacturer of the controller and get the correct manufacturing tool. There's no other way.
