Wouldn't be so sure of that. There is the Raptor Talos II, which is something similar on the desktop side. It's feasible that a laptop with something like a RISC-V CPU could be made just as serviceable or more.

There's been countless occasions when a venue only had a shoddy VGA-only projector. Sure, it takes up space, but it's comfier than the adapter.
