>Backwards Compatible

:some pc tards claiming it's not gonna be powerful as PC
It wont be, for simple reason, it's not profitable to make high end gaming console.
First problem is Yield of high end, second is markup.

>8k
>can't even do 4k at 60 FPS
>can't even do 1080p at 60 FPS
screen cap this

My verdict is:
Move this shit to >>/v/

>can't even do 1080p at 60 FPS
It's very likely to be able to do this, also can't the playstation 4 pro do this?

only a handful of gaymes actually do native 4k, the vast majority is upscaled and dynamic resolution ones that almost never hit 4k. upscale algos are "decent" (better than novideo dlsshit) in most cases and consoles fags dont even notice it

>some pc tards claiming it's not gonna be powerful as PC
Of course they are not going to admit that they are overpaying for a gaming Pc when they just need a console. Generally consoles are cheaper if you take into account only the hardware.

I didn't even mention 4K, bro.

>still caring about "power" like that means shit in gaming
The fact that 30+ year old hardware has better games on it than any games made for modern piles of garbage is proof that it's fucking worthless to make better hardware for gaming.

>Raytracing
Hyper meme
>8k
Meme. The only thing that should be 8k is pictures, which it's gonna be, about 18 per second best case
>Psvr
Awful meme
I wouldn't sell well if they advertised as 144/240fps capable machine since normalfags cum for big numbers.
To answer your question though, it's not gonna be as powerful as PC, no consumer shit ever will be.
>Less than $500usd
Not likely. It's more likely we see another PS3 repeat

>Ray-tracing, NAVI GPU
True
>AMD 7nm Zen 2, 8 Core
True
>high-end custom SSD, faster than ANYTHING currently available on PC
Bullshit
>8K
Bullshit
>new PSVR, 120+ HZ/FPS
True? IDK
>Backwards Compatible
True and is a good thing.

Power only means anything on PC where you can still play older actual good games. Rendering over 300fps and playing at high refresh rates is great on older titles. Not so much on newer games since they all play like shit

Any low end PC can run old games just fine. Paying shittons of money for a fucking PC is just stupid, and wasting money on a goddamn console in 2019 means you have severe mental issues and possibly brain damage.

i agree user.

Navi begin 7nm chip.
Nvidia will release 7nm chips until 2020 Q2 or Q3

>some pc tards claiming it's not gonna be powerful as PC
Consoles are never going to surpass PCs. They literally are PCs, except you can't upgrade them with the latest parts.
However, the one thing that stands out is the new PSVR. I would expect Sony to be working on true next-gen VR, and it should be amazing.

The xbox4 will be 299
The ps5 will be 499
The twitch console/stadia will be free

Physical hardware bros will go Xbox every one els will go twitch/stadia

And twitch/stadia/xcloud will have the best graphics by a large margin

Basically sony lost that's why they desperately talking to wired Jeff bezos was at twitch con EU on weekend and told all the partnered streamers not to buy new computers because "some thing is coming" and he said it would be free

He just got divorced he just wants to play shadow of the collosas and cry he's going to sign any check twitch console might literally be 100$ but be x2 as fast as all this shit gamers got to game

>>high-end custom SSD, faster than ANYTHING currently available on PC
Even if they manage to pull this off, it doesn't matter. SSDs are already so fast that you can boot your PC up instantly. A split second difference isn't going to wow anyone.
>8K
PCs barely manage 4k at the moment, so it's going to come at the expense of frame rate. In addition, 8k TVs are $5000.

Its faster because they going to solder the ssd into the disk drive you can improve stuff that way

Computers have to run all kinds of files and data you can make the physical hardware better and pulling dlc skins faster off a disk than a general purpose drive

Strait from the laser into fast access memmory no buss etc if you did that on a PC it would be less versatile freedom slows pc down

If you just lost 36billion to ya wife ya not going to care wasting 50billion on a kewl games toy so when you go out to bars bros call you a hero every one but Jeff has lost already he's a mad man

The nerd verdict is learn how a fucking computer works.

It will be less powerful than PC. It will be less powerful than the next generation of fucking phones. You will still be playing games at 30 fps with variable resolution. Consoles are a joke.

Use your brain.

A top of the line gaming PC is a few thousand dollars. Consoles are sold at a loss, but not a $1500+ loss. That would be suicide.

God who fucking cares, it's just more stupid dumb shit filled with children, low class immigrants/foreigners, and PAY TO MULTIPLAYER monthly. Consoles are McDonald's of entertainment.

This is the only correct post around.

NAVI aint out yet so can say yet how powerful the GPU is going to be.
>some pc tards claiming it's not gonna be powerful as PC
ofc its not going to be as powerful as how PCs can get. That is silly. Its going to be good according to the specs who cares that it does not beat PC?
>high-end custom SSD, faster than ANYTHING currently available on PC
that is literally a lie.
>8K
Support. Dont expect next gen games to come in 8k mate.
>Backwards Compatible
sweet.
>what is the nerd verdict on this?
PS5 sounds really good. Great choice going with Ryzen and NAVI is properly going to turn out nicely.

>can't the playstation 4 pro do this?
in some games yet. Not in all by far. Its such a silly thing to say "it can do 1080 60fps" as it depends on the game and settings.

It's going to finally be decent at 1080p but it's not made to push any thermal limits. Everyone is going to be playing them on 60hz televisions. It might have backwards compatibility. Meanwhile the mid range rig I built in the ps3 era is still going to be more capable.
