it was really cool

pretty hard and unremarkable

Developers were skilled and write documentation.

boring and tedious

samefag

Fucking terrible. The kind of code that a freshman would produce on an exam ended up being in OS kernels for example. We are still suffering from it.

>he kind of code that a freshman would produce on an exam ended up being in OS kernels for example
jesus

Books.

that's my penis haha

Not having search engines kinda sucked. Not having OOP was fucking fantastic though. I'm glad more people are putting it in the thrash where it belongs

Reading books and getting your shit together.

Hairy and beautiful

rape rape

You learned by typing in BASIC programs from magazines into your 8 bit computer that booted straight into a command prompt.

>tfw you will never be on a team to make the first ever first person shooter written in gods language that goes massively mainstream

Kek. The checksums to check for typos. And the RAM "underneath" the ROM at the same addresses. It's beginning to come back. Is $D011 the main register for graphics settings? Do I remember correctly?

Functional and handbooked.

Reminder that OOP predates C by over a decade

good

Programmers actually understood at a more fundamental level what they were doing (prgraming hardware). Abstraction is so high these days that "programming" is just a skill like writing. What you're writing could be degenerate anime porn or a phd level algorithm.

Nice try

Is that Randy Orton?

>1980's/90's code
>Not bloated, realistic system requirements to run a basic program
>2000+ code
>Massively bloated, everything obfuscated out of the ass, a simple browser requires several gigs of ram; everything runs like shit
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

>every oop project is made on Electron
Brain damage much?

>O-OOP isn't bloat or introduce retarded system requirements for a simple program!
The absolute state of OOP codelets.

So game engines written in C++ manages to be blotted?
