But mint and arch are essentially the same. Arch is just rolling release and has newer software available. They are both systemd binary centric distros. If I slap cinnamon on arch I guarantee you that most linux users coull the difference between it and mint. Want real linux street cred (autism)? Use gentoo, slackware or LFS
