Hmm, was it a girlfriend or a bride? It has been a few years since I have seen it, in fact eight years. I have not completed the manga, yet.

And a superior version to boot.

Yes loved it when i was young, juju hakusho, samurai x, and ghost stories were the shit in cartoon network

Of these, I only remember Yu Yu Hakusho. That seemed pretty good, but I did not get really far into it, like I had with anime a little later than that. YYH seemed to be a proto-Bleach type of series, in a way, or maybe I am getting that wrong.

I liked it a lot, my mom also liked it
Had some great music and nice character development
Is this a Kagome-Kagome thread?

I have not heard of that Kagome. The music in InuYasha is great, though. I may not watch the series anymore, but I still go back and listen to the background music, and quite a few of the OP and ED songs. It is an experience in nostalgia, yet in a way, it seems that I have never quite drifted away from it all that much. The music still leaves its impressions upon me.

When it first aired, back when Adult Swim was good
Fuck off Inuyasha

I first watched InuYasha circa 2004, I think a little after it started getting popular in America. It was still popular through 2006, but Adult Swim aired the last new English dub episodes during 2006. I watched InuYasha: The Final Act in late 2009 and early 2010 with subtitles, over the Japanese audio. Ever since then, I preferred subs.

in the manga kouga eventually quits chasing after kagome near the end, but isnt shown to find his own girl

I tried watching it on adult swim, but my dad made fun of me, and i didn't watch anime again till my early 20s.

Like is an understatement. Rumiko Takahashi is a legend. Go watch her 80s movies.

It seems rather bland for a shonen to me. I never watched it.

Hmm, maybe it seems bland in retrospect, because it was one of the early wave anime to become popular in America.
