I have considered something like that but I have more of a small homelab than a shop and I think it's more practical to have something under or besides the bench going to a switch than leaving a laptop on top.

My experience with AMD-based ASRock hardware is that it's rock-solid, which I can't say about the others. ASUS, MSI, and Gigabyte and released garbage, and I'm still fighting Gigabyte to give me back my money for their broken dick piece of shit motherboard I got baited into buying.

ASRock is going to be my first choice when buying hardware in the future.
