What is your ideal Distro and DE combination?

So I was wondering what is Jow Forums's ideal Distro and DE combination. For me:

>Solus + Gnome
or
>Void + Cinnamon

Attached: Void_Linux_logo.png (1200x989, 62K)

Fedora + XFCE

Debian + dwm

I absolutely hate dwm and suckless retards but their software is actually good so i still use it.

void + dwm

Arch + Xfce

light and comfy

I'm using gnome but I'm fed up with dekstop developers
wayland is DOA
x11 is a security nightmare and unmaintanable POS to the point noone wants the leadership of the project
xfwm, mutter, compton are all shit and ressources hog for poor performances
nvidia graphic drivers are shit because nvidia is retarded with a backward mentality
AMD is trying its best but it's still bugged
gtk is old code and noone understands it anymore
qt is bloat
gnome is a gnome devs circlejerk, if none of them use a feature then they remove it even if 4 gazillions people outside redhat use it.
kde is too big for such a small team, dev is slow and too buggy
budgie died when ikey left solus
the list goes on
There is not a single cutting edge, well written tool better than the cli counterpart

i'm considering wm from now on, I'm currently experimenting with openbox but I might use i3/sway

>debian + i3
might just be retarded

arch + i3

Unity
I just want unity.
Gnome a shit

openbsd + suckless

Void + Xfce with a few tweaks for aesthetic.

void + dwm

TempleOS + TWM

Based.

fedora+sway

Debian sid + WindowMaker or Openbox.

plan9 + rio

this.
void + dwm

void+mate[arc-darker+papirus]

void +i3
everything is fine :D

dwm is wasted on systemd distros

Wow, I didn't know Jow Forums liked void so much. Looking into installing it now.
Very high quality post, thank you!

Arch + KDE
Werks perfect, comfy, reasonably light for what you get

>not freebsd
*hugs*

alternating between void and openBSD, both with icewm. it's comfy shit.

>(- 2020 1)
>using a DE
arch + i3
newest unity is a gnome skin user

I've used Gentoo + xfce for a few years now but Gentoo + dwm is pretty nice for laptops too.

This. On my X220 now. Might try Gentoo though.

slackware i3

My laptop is Fedora + Gnome, and home desktop is Fedora + Plasma.

jesus christ.....surely thats not a man on the right

Antergos and Sway

Gentoo + emacs

the last decent DE was gnome 2, nothing comes close to the old ubuntu versions

KDE-Plasma + LiGNUx
What router you running that on?

How do you do the partition things for void?
Also I have an x220 like and was wondering if it supports booting from a GPT drive

gentoo + xmonad

NixOS with KDE.
I used to use gentoo with xmonad. Over time I switched to kde because all the same functionality is available in kwin plus easier interfaces (but I admit kde is buggier, nothing beats the stability of Haskell software in my experience.) Gentoo is kinda dying, NixOS does everything gentoo does but better and does more, NixOS unfortunately is kinda buggy and hard to use compared to gentoo, but it's worth having the deterministic builds because once they work they always work.
