A fucking Acer Predator! The one that becomes a airplane when turned on!

Maxed out Tadpole SPARCLE 650x.
No Spectre, no Meltdown, no closed-source BIOS botnet.

thinkpad x220 instead of t60

An X230T
Yes, I'm too poor to even afford a used chinkpad

I use a thinkpad x200.
I've upgraded the hdd to an ssd. And installed libreboot. Feeling good.

The most expensive macbook pro and then sell it to some fag immediately

Probably some unbotneted powerPC Jow Forums meme.

Thinkpad x210 (yes, x210 geoff.greer.fm/2019/03/04/thinkpad-x210/ )
or the latest X1 Carbon with top specs

x220

Predator

didn't that user who doxxed himself the other day get one of these

If I had unlimited money, I would start a company to build my own.

Unironically this. Lot of power in a small form factor.

bear computer.

Thinkpad P5something

a lot of interesting ideas, but realistically a fully spec'd out x1 carbon. hard to go to audio school without a laptop capable

either a x62 or a x210
those things are sexy

That thread was fucking disgusting

Holy shit thats actually smart

I don't know what laptops are the most expensive. I would buy the most expensive crammed with as much as possible. 4k 17” screen is a must.

If money wasn't a problem I'd get all 3 of these. Unfortunately from the post x220 (factory) thinkpads the only acceptable ones are the carbons, at least in my opinion. And even those tend to be pretty expensive, also not upgradeable.

Certainly excels in the device security vulnerability benchmark

Maybe W500ds but that isn't a machine I'd like to carry daily. For daily use I'd probably opt for some 4:3 T60/T61 or maybe one of these chink upgrades. Actually fuck, if money wasn't a limitation I'd hire a team to design and manufacture a modern T60. I'm not sure if 14" or 15" though, 15" is actually pretty big. Another option I'd consider is one of these 2-in-1's (I actually carry around a tablet for handwritten notes) but I'm concerned about build quality.

I have X201s, want to switch to T60. I think the limiting factor in experience of using my laptop is the display size. 1st gen i7 is absolutely enough for any programming I do. If I ever have to work on really big projects I might need to setup a remote toolchain. I already have 15" T60 on hands and it is much comfier but I'm waiting until I have extra money to spend on an SSD and a new keyboard because swapping really hurts with 3GBs of RAM and that old HDD. It might turn out that T60 is actually too slow so I don't want to make my old laptop inoperational.

A one-of-a-kind laptop that is perfect in every way.

Buy a maxed out zbook x2 like I did abfew weeks ago when they were 3600 dollars off. Rocks. Eighth gen i7, 16gb ram, 512 SSD, 4k dream color screen, Nvidia Quadro

I've always associated razer with ugly garbage, but this might the first product i've ever seen of theirs that actually looks pretty understated and >classy. Still I wouldn't want to be seen owning something with the razer logo on it so fuck off.

I'd give apple a billion dollars and tell them to get off their fucking asses and make a thicker 17" macbook pro with a decent gfx card in it

I have the laptop in OPs picture

I'd prabably just buy out every seller on Amazon of their T420's

Something fully compatible with OpenBSD

Apple MacBook Pro with Retina Display

2015 MacBook Pro

A custom built and designed, easily maintainable, expandable, standard complying, durable, light, and powerful one.

Also it has at least a Thinkpad tier keyboard.

I just did yesterday. A Asus ROG lappy. I wanted something thin but powerful.
I also liked the style.

based

Excellent taste. For me, it's the SGI O2 laptop prototype with IRIX 6.5

You know what? I have no fucking idea. I'm looking for a new laptop for more than 2 years and still didn't find anything (brand new) suitable for me. The solution is easy - just buy a used one. I did. It fucking turned out it was stolen and I almost ended in court. Sometimes my life is a fucking joke. At least I'm not bored.

Still hope I will find something before summer...

Whatever you do if you want a functional machine don't buy any razer laptop. Razer's quality control is some of the worst in the industry, very high failure rate compared to other brands in their price range, and when something goes wrong Razer has absolute shit tier support that will string you around with weeks of back and forth emails to try and get your stuff repaired under warranty, and once that warranty expires forget about getting any repaired for a decent price from them, with what they charge for out of warranty repair you might as well just buy a new computer.
t. stupidly bought the i7 6700HQ/1060 blade in 2016

These ones gets really hot.

MacBook pro 15 inch. Really no other answer. If I had so much money I would already have a gaming desktop.

Don't all laptops with newer Intel CPUs? What do you do about it?

Thinkpad p72, fully decked out

>Don't all laptops with newer Intel CPUs?
It's mostly the GPU that's the problem. I have a 1070 in mine
>What do you do about it?
Put it on top of a laptop stand with fans, doesn't help much though

xps13 but I wouldn't use it much, just for presentations/conferences

Since you are talkin about p series which is the really powerfull laptop from thinkpad. Whats the difference between the p series and w series? Cause i want to build a virtual host on a laptop but the x series, the cpu has only 4 threads. So i was lookin into the t series, w series or even p. But i dont kniw which one to stay with. Someone please help.

But the point of getting a laptop is portability, isn't it? Now I need to get a stand with fans? Gey

Maybe one of those nifty Sony Vaios. I kind of already have every laptop I want. Mostly PowerBooks and Thinkpads.

P is successor of W series. W series was discontinued few years ago.

You don't need to, but it helps a little. It will also get dusty, so you might need to clean it.

Probably a Razer with a 2080

I'd have a new mobo designed for an X210 so I could use modern processors and shit.

I'm currently saving up money to buy this, but the cheaper 1080p version. I even have a eGFX with a 1070 ti ready for when I can get it, I used to have it for my Dell G7 but the thing was so big and used to get so hot that I sold it.

Good taste user.

Attached: index.jpg (310x162, 9K)

Ok. But i meant specs difference.

Panasonic CF-RZ6

maxed out clevo with GPUs in SLI

X62

A fully loaded xps 15 or a purism/system76 lappy.

Newest X1 Carbon or XPS 15 specced out

edge p100

macbook pro late 2025

>gaming on a laptop
overheating is still a big issue

I guess I'd set up my own assembly line and start building whatever I want.

P40 Yoga
But if it really wasn't a limitation, I'd get a 360P and order a custom-made T70-styled board replacement for it.

Either the highest spec machine money can buy or a Thinkpad w700ds

Attached: dims.jpg (600x471, 37K)

Maxed out P52 probably. Or an X1E because the P52 might be too heavy to carry everyday.

The most expensive gaming laptop with the best specs.

If IBM has an openPOWER laptop, then that. Otherwise, I'm very happy with my X220, so maybe just one of those with a better screen.

X220 with a full HD IPS and Ryzen APU when? All the laptops suck ass.

Story? What the fuck did the OP do?

Is it though? Why would they pay a premium for it? If they can afford the mark up they can afford to go in the apple store and buy it at RRP.

I'm tempted to get a HP Elitebook 830 G5. A 13 inch computer with 32GB of RAM is exactly what I want.

A brand new desktop.

>left-of-center keyboards with numpad on a laptop

into the trash

maxed out t490 is the best thinkpad available. every """ultrabook""" and """workstation laptop""" will thermal throttle when maxed out.

get get an egpu if you're doing machine learning.

A custom laptop with a 12 hour battery that could also function as a flamethrower.

>machine learning on a laptop

Build the best PC money can buy, since I don't need a laptop

some guy unboxed his x210 and had the most revolting room and every time you thought it couldnt get worse it did

MNT Reform[1] or Asus Chromebook C201[2]. If we're talking ridiculous money I'd maybe opt to fund a better freedom-respecting laptop's development.

Any laptop without a full (including separate numeric keypad) keyboard and touchpad (fuck clitmice) isn't worth getting.

Is it worth it waiting for the 9750H?

bear computer.

I'd love a portable computer, preferably with two or more 5.25" drives.
