Right clickings + refreshings

Anyone ever noticed how Pajeets incessantly refresh the desktop in those tutorial videos they make? It's as if they're all taught to do it, but for what reason?

I dont know man, I've never watched tutorials on youtube, I always look the original documentation

hoping bobs and vegana pop up

There's on Pajeet at my work and I've seen him refresh the desktop constantly too. When I asked why he does it, he had no answer.

>Watching youtube tutorials

Nah, it's just a thing to do with the mouse when explaining stuff, just like selecting nothing repeatedly or clicking with the cursor ripple effect.

I could buy that, but why is it only Pajeets that do it?

Probably because they "learn" it from other pajeet tech youtubers. Like a little fad.

I used to do this as well. Feeling like a complete idiot now thinking back.

what was the purpose of refresh again?
Has been so long since I used windows

it use to be a thing to offload the "3d accel' vram back in the day of win 98

i guess people are doing it so far out of programming cause windows has a auto refresh since xp

I used to have to refresh all the time on my 486. Still have the habit to this day.

Sometimes the folder doesn't automatically update when something in it changes. You can force this to happen by renaming a file but only changing the case of some of the letters. The name change won't appear(bug?) until you refresh.

I did this when i was like 10

>not just pressing F5

Ask me how I know you're underage. It's an old school habit.

Wait, people do this shit outside of when they're one hand surfing the web?

The future is now, old man.

I don't know but it's universal to all pajeets. My work has a shitty outsourced helpdesk and anytime they have to connect to my work computer to change/fix anything they refresh the desktop after everything they do.

Go look at some of the pajeet Windows tutorials on YouTube. They do it again and again whenever they're waiting for something. You'd think that once would be enough, assuming they even know what effect refreshing has on the desktop / explorer.

What does refresh even do?

I heard some people say it "makes it go faster", like some people used to reset to the default theme on XP or 7. It's just a placebo effect

It died away with the tap friendly mobile generation.

Probably because they used win XP for too long. I remember myself often refreshing the desktop for no reason when I used XP, though after I switched to win7 this habit has gone. I have no idea why and I'm not even a pajeet.

glad I dont use winshit anymore

I don't watch those guys, I'd rather read. I sometimes refresh whatever folder in to update file sorting, new stuff gets created at the end.

The Apple Macbook Pro with Retina Display doesn't have this problem.

>all these whippersnappers

Refreshes.

Why do you need to refresh when it auto-refreshes?

maybe it's not nearly as useful nowadays but I remember sometimes having to refresh a folder that I just copied a file into since it wouldn't appear immediately

Auto-refresh is on a cycle of every few seconds or a minute or whatever to not waste CPU cycles. Sometimes you need the desktop to refresh right now. I don't think I've had to use that option since like windows xp though. Maybe they increased the tick rate so it happens more often now.

damn you really like to waste your time

Asians all have their weird things

Pajeets shitting in the streets
Chinese drinking hot water
Japanese drawing child porn

We may not agree with them, but we accept them

They miss the DEGAUSS button

>They miss the DEGAUSS button
god I loved pressing that every half hour when the charge had built up sufficient to give it a nice thud
