Hey anons. I made it. I can't get into who I am, or how much I'm sitting on, but it's enough to carry me through a few luxury lifetimes. I am from the EU, and I made my wealth by winning EU TED procurement contracts. After reading more and more about bans on porn, Google censorship, NZ ISPs blocking websites, and now the EUs directive on copyright in the Digital Single Market (Article 17, commonly called 13), I've decided to start a NordVPN-like service. I need a sysadmin to setup the various servers around the world for secure *logless* VPN connections (including encrypted DNS lookups), as well as someone to make the frontend application for Mac, Windows & Linux.
I need your takes on the countries with the best privacy-favorable data retention laws + a possible name for this service. Also another good piece of information is: would you use it?
On a related note: Is there a way to use zero-knowledge proof to verify that no logs are being stored? I want this to be very transparently good.
We decide on a name together. Sorry for tripfag, but its necessary.
Thanks user, just trying to secure the existence of an unbiased Internet for my children.
I forgot to mention: It'll be 100% free and the client will be open source.

bump Name it darkVPN
Lincoln Rogers
nice effort but you're unironically better off going to rebbit for serious answers, Jow Forums is reserved for distro fights and programming socks, no one here ever does any real work.
Juan Clark
Call it "Haruka" or something entirely unrelated, shit like niggerVPN penisVPN or *VPN is fucking retarded
Ayden Williams
You can mail me at [email protected] if you want to come with an important suggestion or lengthy explanation.
How about GlowInTheDark. As in; there's light at the end of the tunnel for the Internet?
Carter Turner
I don't know how to prove my wealth without auto-dox. Suggestions?
You are correct.
Anthony Bailey
Most of them have faster and cheaper options than many 1st world place. Usually data centers connected directly to huge mainline routes.
Angel Robinson
sounds good .
or Firefly. They are the lights in the darkness
Mason Evans
Does anyone have a list of 3rd world countries that have the infrastructure via FIBERS to connect to the rest of the world? I'm guessing I can bribe some ISPs.
Nathaniel Brooks
Let me know if you need any mech eng professional, to construct things, like STB or merchandise or things like that. [email protected]

Let anons choose some short random strings, place a bunch of money on the floor so it looks like the string and send us a picture (in high res so it'd be noticable if you photoshopped).
I'll start: pQb7B

Based TLDR pic This shit sounds so much like a LARP tough, even the fact that you are making a tread on 4channel instead of actually starting the process of making a company and asking shit like "I need your take on countries with favourable privacy laws" doesn't seem to me like what somebody that really wants to create a company (VPNs in this case). You world sound so much more believable where you to have come like "Hey, I'm starting a company because of listed reasons, I've checked stuff and talked with people about how to create a VPN company, now what do you think of this...." you are not providing us with any believable evidence of any of your claims and intentions, you could simply abandon the project tomorrow, I doubt as many people will take this problem as seriously as they could
agree
John Cook
you're breaking the law by making it logless if you're in the EU.
Sebastian Morgan
So why don't you hire a lawyer to look this shit up for you? What a LARP thread. Fuck off.
Samuel Morris
Pay me $2500 startup fee and then $1000 a month and I will offer a server in my basement
If you're going to deal with south america pay $100 to some cartel to kill this retarded frognigger
Tyler Martin
nice larp thread, you sound 16 years old
Eli Myers
This will overload the servers with leechers and 90% of the traffic will be torrents of some sort.
I work for a video game cheat provider, and we use an application system. We just require a fee lines (like 300-500 words maybe) that is about why they want the product and all that. Basically to show us if they are brain dead or lazy. This makes the community around us way more pleasant. We also deny 4 out of 5 applications. Which speaks for itself as the requirements are very low.
I'd suggest that you do something similar to this. Don't require any personal details obviously, but let the people tell you why they want a vpn, how'd they hear about the service and all. This will make you decide if you want to enable people protecting themselves against surveillance or bypass porn blocks or if you want to help torrenting kids.
A paid option could be the second alternative so instead of a application wall you have a paywall.
Just my 2 cents

>using your wealth and power for the freedom of others on the internet You are a saint, thank you. I look forward to using it!
Oh my god you're fucking retarded. Drug dealers carries cash. Not software infrastructure contractors. They're (mostly) in my holdings companies and portfolios. I have several art/history effects investments I can take OG pictures of that are worth 5 digits each currently. Appreciating steadily.
I'll be blunt. This was an idea that to me 3 days ago, and I haven't had time to do any research.
No euro servers then. Bye OVH.
Because asking a group of users who are very concerned with the "14 eyes" seemed like a faster and cleaner alternative. I could consult my lawyer, though he's not versed in "Internet law", he deals with business law.
What frognigger are we talking about?
Good idea. But if an IP is torrenting excessively, we'd simply limit his bandwidth.
Aaron Hughes
so arrange the numbers in your bank account faggot
James Martinez
>tfw this is a kindergarten larp thread and everyone plays along
>I have several art/history effects investments I can take OG pictures of that are worth 5 digits each currently. With validation certification please. No fakes. If you'd actually own said artwork, you'd know it would be really easy to backtrack who you are by knowing about them.
>Because asking a group of users who are very concerned with the "14 eyes" seemed like a faster and cleaner alternative. I could consult my lawyer, though he's not versed in "Internet law", he deals with business law.
Jow Forums is not "very concerned" with "the 14 eyes". This is the ultimate LARP board. Hire another lawyer fuckhead. Cya.
Charles Green
>Is there a way to use zero-knowledge proof to verify that no logs are being stored? Not possible. You can't prove that something didn't happen.
Benjamin Collins
You should call it crippleVPN. Because you will be crippled by the people who want power and control over the internet and bad actors. I have attached a logo you could use, maybe Jow Forums could improve it.
