the samsung is only worth the premium if you plan on putting it in a extremely high i/o rig or server. I have a few evos and evo pros in an R710 and a couple other machines, and many years later they're still absolute champs.

Kys

also these nvmes are pants shitting fast. I'm not even sure this is accurate but it's in a pcie slot on my r710's proxmox install, and this is a benchmark from one of the guest machines

Samsung is made in China

Crucial is made in North America

So Samsung it is then.

Based.

absolutely based and asianpilled

this, for desktop use other nvme not worth the price over sata

true but this bitch is running a gaggle of VMs for me in my poweredge at 3-6GB/sec i/o, and anyone who doesn't get to experience that will die unhappy

because TLC w/SLC cache

I just spent 30min autistically learning to do it in iozone to make sure it was right. this was in a gparted VM running off a RAM image. using a virt scsi single thread disk device to speed it up. it's a evo pro 960 nvme in pcie.

initial write 2813060 kB/s
rewrite 4278361 kB/s
read 6369859 kB/s
re-read 5737931 kB/s

>desktop use

>evo pro 960 nvme
no such thing brainlet

same difference you autist, christ you need to lighten up. it's the same god damn product line.

I don't really know what that means but from what I can tell it means it's a good drive

>it's the same god damn product line
what's you're IQ? the drives have more differences than CPUs in the same product line. they are literally using different NAND.

Attached: .jpg (700x397, 78K)

LITERALLY ever fucking NAND chip is different going from Evo to Pro. Like how stupid can you be?

Attached: .jpg (608x168, 64K)

literally no one cares about that you dumb autist, go count some paper clips

and you see what else is different? if you're IQ is over 50 you should be able to tell.

Just ordered an 1tb Intel 660 to upgrade a 2015 XPS 13

I'm honestly jealous I don't have the free time that you do to care about this stuff. but besides that none of this stuff you're saying implies it's bad hardware. you're literally punching a pillow right now. you're mad at me because I bought a good product and use it to its potential, settle down.

mexico is central america
