Despite being a premium, $1,000 smartphone, the Galaxy S10 comes loaded with ads, even my unlocked version. There are apps from Flipboard and Spotify as well as a unremovable version of Facebook. McAfee Anti-virus is baked into the operating system as "security," and the Samsung Gallery app wants to share my location with Foursquare. The storage management settings, which is just a simple file-cleanup app, is "Powered by Qihoo 360," a Chinese security company. A caller-ID feature built into the phone app is provided by a company called "Hiya."
Once you run through setup and connect to Wi-Fi, the phone spawns an undismissable "Secure Wi-Fi" notification, which, it turns out, is an ad for McAfee VPN subscription service. I tried blocking the notification—it's not blockable—but it turns out you can open the advertisement, carefully consider subscribing to McAfee VPN, say "No," and then it will go away. Cool.
Why Samsung has so expensive phones? They are no better than cheap chink phones
Bentley Lee
Get a chinkphone and wipe it as clean as you can Posted from my Oneplus 5t running LineageOS

So is Apple the way to go? At least they're American and care about privacy and security, as evidenced by their unwillingness to hand over data to the FBI.
Justin Watson
You actually believe they wouldn't co-operate with the nsa ever.. The only way to be botnet free is do everything offline
>b-baste No, just no. I have more trust in an American company that has a track record of respect for privacy than a phone that has 20 different shady chink companies contributing to the software and that is literally loaded with ads even after paying $1 000 for the unlocked version.
and apple sells your user data . all your purchases even not on the itunes store ALL purchases dont through the device are logged and data sold to 3rd party companies

this not based

unironically get an iphone. even if samsung is good with your data (they're not) you're still running android. which is googled.

my note 8 does not have these problems
Dominic Walker
>buying Samsung when Xiaomi and Oneplus exist You are disgustingly stupid
You can remove all of those apps with adb, and my Verizon S10 comes free of McAfee and Hiya
Landon White
Debloat your phone stupid frog poster, every time you buy a new android smartphone the first thing you do is unlock the bootloader and flash a clean version of the rom, just like you do with a fresh bought laptop. There are no roms available and you don't know how to debloat one? Sorry but you're on your own, android smartphone users are supposed to be intelligent, if you don't want to deal with shit just buy an iToy and masturbate yourself with it.
You guys are retarded, chinks are unable to personally prosecute you and are less likely to cooperate with your government than companies based on your countries. If I have to accept botnet I will choose the one that's least likely to destroy my life.
Gabriel Anderson
What kind of criminal are you? What do you use your phone for that could "destroy your life"?
Michael Peterson
Nice try.
Elijah Price
>criminals pretend to have high moral standards Nobody cares, Jamal.
Sebastian Miller
Point is, if you're doing shit that could destroy your life if you were caught, you shouldn't be using a smartphone at all. For regular everyday stuff your data is safer with Apple.
Brandon Phillips
Who said anything about morals. Fucking idiot.
Jack Cox
I work one of the southamerican triads. What to buy?
William Barnes
Nobody cares, Jamal. Have fun rotting in prison.
Carter Gomez
If you aren't targeted it's just as (un)safe with them as with Chinks, but honestly who the fuck cares about that unimportant shit. If you don't want your data processed don't use a phone. It's that simple.
Noah Cook
I never broke law in my entire life. Not even a misdemeanor or petty offence. I was pampered so I had no reason to. Stop projecting.
Ah, so you're just pretending to have something to hide, is that it, Jamal? Just fighting the good fight because you're bored and want something to be enraged about? Want to use your paranoia as a participation award to hold over people's heads to convince everyone and yourself that you're very smart for hiding all of your "vanilla" porn habits. God damn, ladies and gents, why didn't we just listen to Jamal here when we had the chance?
John Garcia
Call me when chinks will come up with a Galaxy Note alternative.
Jack James
this i wouldn't buy a phone i knew i couldn't put lineage on
Samuel King
Qualcomm sells virtually all fucking chipsets these days retard. Enjoy paying more for the same backdoor and convincing yourself it's any different.
Matthew Bell
Phones haven't improved in any meaningful way since ~2010 anyway.

Get the s8. Cheaper and less shit.
Henry Robinson
This is why people buy a phone with stock android, my Pixel 2 uses a Samsung OLED and that's the only reason to buy a Samsung phone.
