I posted this before on here a while ago-- about 2 months after the 2080ti came out, I bought a fucking Zotac Geforce, the most basic bitch one you could get. really the ONLY one they had. And you can make fun of they shitty brand all you want ut it's been behaving like a champ.
However, now I want to add a 2nd Zotac 2080ti Geoforce "amp overclocked." Initial thoughts?
Going though the fucking possible SLI candidates, I'd like to se a Zotac since I'd guess that the brand would work best wit the brand they were made for, but..not sure about it. ASUShas an SLI for $90 the seems far better quality, as does SLI for a bit cheaper, and there are a fucking to of just "ribbon-type" things that claim they are just as good as an SLI.
Has anyone here DONE an SLI with 2 2080tis and, if so, what are tory thoughts? I've had numerous people tell me "it only works for some games, you run great risk of fucking. but I have a fucking $300 French case, one of the biggest they sell, and would like to add something to it. Of course, that's not the only reason, have read a LOT of shit that sats SLiing the 2080ti produces amazing results.
If I do it, thoughts on if I ought to use a Zotac "amp and over clocked" for ~$1,400 or use the fucking founder's editor nvidia one? Any ideas on which one to use and which SLI I ought use are much appreciated... can't figure out of the fucking Zotac is better,, although the ones Amazon has in stocks only gives you 2 fucking slots to slip over, which might release too much het which may mean I need to pay another $350 for a fucking water cooler. I swear, just when the fucking Hard Drive prices begin to come down, the mother board, RAM prices, and other shit have to fucking shoot up...

I just counted...I have fucking TWTENTY-TWO fans since I had them all lined up to use in my French fucking case. It looks bad ass as fuck and i want to set up a water cooling system, but I never realized those there like $1,500....

Do you, perchance, know anything about SLI? I think I have to go to the boomer hobbyists over on overclock net for that one, since they are only one wit the money to engage in such things,,,

2080ti is still the fastest gaming card so it's an easy sell.
Titan v is more niche though and fewer people know about it but it has more vram and probably more driver level features that some professionals may need.
SLI is never worth it.
NVLink may be worth considering for Deep Learning, but not for gaming.

they reminded me of something I didn't think of, which is that is will only go as fast as your slowest card, so my thoughts of getting the ASUS "overclocked" and "supercharged" visions of the 2950ti are useless..unless I'm able to overclock the shit out of my current card, which I'm going to try to do this afternoon...

SLI is dead. Performance gains are lower than ever in games. NVLink is meant for AI/calculations. Besides, what do you hope to gain from it anyway? Do 144hz 4K displays even exist yet?

It really isn't though. Esp if both your cars have a "c" output, since that is going to be the future of VR. And if you use VR often (as I do), most people who are really into VR will tell you that have 2 GPUs make a major difference in how their games run.

I bought this for 1k aud and it's overkill desu a well optimised game will go well over 100fps 4k
Unoptimized trash like odessy and such will run at 40-60fps
Depending on the game sli won't help either but I've read and seen some amazing scaling with nvlink
I won't bother with it myself I'd rather put that money into a new CPU and more ram when Zen 3 comes out I'm on a 2700x and it starts to bottleneck it at 4ghz+

Oh, I was thinking about getting that one. Did you overclock it yourself? I started wanting the Zotac even though, like everyone, i initially thought was a trash brand but seeing this one before has changed my mind.
I wanted the Zotac bc it already comes aoverlcokced and also it's supposedly the fastest out of the box go any of the 2080tis. Plus, since I already have one...IDK.....boomer dudes on overclock tell me to get a founder's edition geosync, but not sure they know fucking anything. From what I can see, the two most imp aspects are 1. speed 2. having at least one "C" output so you can use it for your VR down the line.
I just wish I could find someone who really knows their business as far as SLI and could tell me which one to use for it...
Also just got a new 2066 motherboard, but going to use it in a totally different build for my torrents, prating, modding, etc... since I don't want to risk fucking anything up by moving all my HDs and rest of it....

Even places like "tom's Hardware,"who have been honest about pretty much everything since they opened, admit that Sci is now the preferred choicenwith the 2080ti. I just fuckig need to figure out which one to use.
Also, i can get a fucking refurbished OLED 4k 65" for $2,700, and a 55" refurbrished OLED 4k for $1,100. IT DOES stop to give one paise if I'd rather spend the fucking money on another graphics card or a TV and a PS pro, which must look amazing on a fuck 4k OLED... and will also run bluerays....
