ANSI is for manlets that need the longer Shift key so they can reach better. ISO is for over 6' chads who like to have extra keys in their layout. Both have their uses.

ISO suits international usage better while ANSI is feature-handicapped for 'muricans and bongs. If you type English AND literally any other language then ISO is your way to go kb layout (+ objectively better for programming)

Americans also have a literal Alt-Right button when they could've put something actually useful in there, like the AltGr-shortcut. Why have multiple copies of the same button? Shift & Ctrl already have identical copies of them on both sides, don't waste any more space doing that shit when nobody uses them anyway.

I moved from Italian ISO to English ANSI and never looked back.
It's just that more comfy for programming, and the longer left shift is much more comfortable for ctrl+shift keyboard shortcuts.
