Well, it will because they'll have that file to seed. You can't exactly seed if you don't have it.

For the same reason everyone else is seeding, especially the guy that created the torrent himself: because you want others to complete the torrent and enjoy it too.
How does the torrent's creator benefit (assuming it's legit)? It sharing. Were you expecting money in return for telling the time to some guy on the street?

I guess if you care about retaining membership to the tracker, then it makes sense to want to seed. But why not just use a VPN with public trackers, so you don't have to deal with power-tripping private tracker admins?

No thank you, it's why I always limit or disable my upload so as not to support their wicked ways. I'm just one person, my downloading of films, games music etc. won't affect anyone.
