This is just a small instance of FREEDOM, something iTODDLERS and WINKEKS will never get to enjoy.
Discuss.

.....you know you could have just installed f.lux, user?

I love Windows 10 and there's nothing you or anyone else can do about it.
Also GNU/Linux is trash.

see >I love Windows 10
at least be a self-respecting human being and use Windows 7

Typical response from a retarded Windows fanboy.

you could simply turn on the light in your room and use a blue light filter

you are no better than the winfags recommending f.lux. That's the fundamental difference between windows virgins and GNU/Linux Chads.
The windows virgin cucks out at the first thing resembling a challenge, and opts for inferior "workarounds".

it's not a workaround, staring at a monitor in a pitch black room it's bad for you eyes and you don't look like a cool hacker

And everyone does it for free.

>something iTODDLERS and WINKEKS will never get to enjoy.
Huh? All Apple displays have supported brightness control from the OS since the Apple Studio Display (1998).

>All Apple displays
I was talking about EXTERNAL displays. Having to buy an apple display just so you can change the brightness is beyond stupid and you should feel bad for making this post.

>no brightness option on windoze
Er, you realise monitors themselves have brightness options, don't you?

Also:
>not running macOS, Windows 10, and Linux in a triple boot setup
Get on my level.

Not that guy, but you don't need software settings. I have never come across a single computer display that didn't have built-in brightness settings. Stop being a dumbass.

install dwm

>I was talking about EXTERNAL displays.
So you're telling me my monitor isn't external? I'm not even using a Mac.
>Having to buy an apple display just so you can change the brightness
Let me get this straight: You were saying Apple products aren't able to do this, but when told otherwise you just go and say I'm stupid anyway because I bought an Apple product? Also, this: Is pressing a button on your monitor so hard?

>>no brightness option on windoze
Werks on my windoze ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

based, now don't lurk here because people shit on GNOME for working out of the box.
For this people the norm is that software should be broken so you fix it and waste your time. That's actually the opposite of what linux distributions are supposed to be, they should have already working software

>he can't control his monitor brightness
That's your fault for buying a retarded computer.

>t. retard
I sure hope this is bait tho

So do I, and I'm even the guy you called a retard.

>something iTODDLERS
>will never get to enjoy
install ddcctl, change brightness, it jest werks.
pic related.

Obvious fake

Actually backlight control is iffy with older Apple displays with recent versions of OS X. It’s almost like they don’t give a shit about IS X any more...

>no gui integration because you are being handheld by apple
>resort to making aliases instead
kek

(You)
how is it fake? If you didn't have a double digit IQ you'd have done it by now.

>samefagging on a mongolian basket weaving imageboard

>monitors themselves have brightness options
That's not the point, retard

GUIs are for retards.

That's a 2003 23" Cinema Display with Sierra in my post, and the brightness control works just fine. We'll see what happens when I upgrade to Mojave, though.

>>no gui integration
Multiple people wrapped the tool into a gui, to make it look like a native brightness control, i prefer controlling monitors thorough terminal
