>sony anything
Who cares whether it's good. Why would anyone give money to Sony in 2019?

I need a USB DAC/AMP for my M1060s. Any suggestions?

>$100 or less
>USA
>Neutral signature, I don't need any tube shit.

the niggertron 4000

QC 35 is better. Sony sounded sibilant and hollow

I'll take a SR-L700, SR-009, and SR-007, please.

Looked at thus far: Sennheiser 4.40BT, AudioTechnica ATH-AR5BT & ATH-WS660BT, Sony WH-CH700N
Out of those, which would you recommend?

wtf I love FR graphs now

I am torn between the QC35 and the senn pxc550 man, I cant take my beyer t1s to work with all the dipshits playing mumble rap though our spotify, feels bad

>70738898
日本人?

bose is king as far as anc goes. They don't sound bad either.

Bose sound just as good as Stax, fact.

why not the new ath-sr50bt? exactly 17000 yen

What's the next step for me?
I'm using HD202s and they've been very good to me, but the cable is just soooo fucking terrible. And I'm slowly starting to get a bit of crackle in my left cup.

I'm absolutely fine with the same level of audio fidelity, just want a good single detachable cable

Takstar Pro 82, ~$50

Mod it and fix it. Why waste something that you can easily fix?

stax

Well replacing the cable is a fairly trivial task and I do intend to do it once it's needed
But that'll still end up with a cable coming out of each cup unless I do some aesthetically less pleasing mods and routing it the other way around

Thanks, I'll keep them in mind

I bought some cheap replacement pads for my Sony MDR V6s and I notice the old pads had this thick layer of foam between the driver and the ear, whereas my cheap chink ones have this really thing bit of mesh you can see through. Did this layer of foam serve any purpose like a filter that improves quality or prevents hearing damage or am I good?

they arent mud cannons right, I tried one of their sport headphones and the bass was so bad I insta-returned them, I know they wont sound like my beyers but I loathe bass heavy cans, and pretty much anything warmer than hd600s usually are shit tier for me

user, why haven't you bought foster biocellulose drivers and star working on your own headphones yet?

Attached: MT040A_01-540x540.jpg (540x540, 47K)

dunno, I just bought a chassis with fragile hinges to go with it because I hate myself probably

good

Attached: _20190420_114041.jpg (3857x3096, 1.4M)

At the very most these foam inserts dampen the treble ever so slightly depending on how thick they are. MrSpeakers Aeon Flow for example ship with optional inserts to adjust the sound profile to your liking (if you can even hear a difference). Leaving them out is not gonna damage your hearing though.

Because I'm not in Japan.

>I'm not in Japan
Ugh. What are you, gay?

weebs ruin hifi

FiiO's EQ is unironically amazing. I just bump up the bass on hip hop and this HD800S rattles on my head.

Other user here with Bose Qc35, you won't be disappointed.

wheres the link to last thread you faggot

thanks frend

they have international shipping

Where do you read headphones related news?

Oops I meant weebs run hifi, silly me.

staxaudio.com

metal571 convinced me not to purchase Stax headphones.

Based metal571

If R2R DAC is so great, why don’t you own one??

But the dude in the video said they don't.

i might later, you don't own me nigga

from the video description
>To obtain the drivers you may need to use a shipping forwarding service. Fujiya Avic themselves have partnered with one.

they're not yet in stock, will ship sometime in may. i personally have no clue how to build a headphone, but they're so cheap it's tempting. 1250 yen, about 10$ for a pair.

because it doesn't come with every copy of windows

the absolute state of sigma delta cucks

Why did Tyll leave us

Attached: 1533968811808.png (261x192, 71K)

>FX Audio DAC-X6
Yes/No?
Better alternatives?

stax is your new god

>those prices
Yeah, gonna get them when I win the lottery.

Is that an R2R?

i love its cute little smile

im not going to force you to do anything but I will say sigma delta is fine as it is.

Tyll was biased and complained even some of the tamest cans with any treble at all hurt his ears and suggested expensive gear too much especially amps

because he was bose & beats fanboy

Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro vs Sennheiser HD 598

I'll be listening to metal, classic rock, pop on my phone.

R2R dac?

I see, gonna try order them and slap in my broken AKGs.

Someone explain this meme to me.

Lose of hearing due to age.

Get the Fiio E10k if you find it for about 50~60 usd.

For around 100 usd I would get the Fiio K3.

>R2R
What's that?
I'm a brainlet when it comes to audiotech.

lots of audio people have some degree of hearing loss, makes me wonder how all the trendchasers currently following the mudcannon trend currently killing the market right now adjust later on once brighter cans become popular again

Is there a site where I can get a replacement headband/suspenders for AKG K612PRO?
Mine are worn out and they don't hug my head no more.

Attached: Image-2-Tutorial-R2R-DAC.jpg (730x385, 22K)

I can’t wait till I can afford an R2R DAC

audio-gd.com/R2R/R2R2/R2R2EN.htm

The discrete R-2R design had the better detail and transparency than the classis R-2R chips. We are consider in this middle/ low range price, users may like the sound more smooth and analog , so we increase the even harmonic and odd harmonic, spend a lot time to adjust and test the harmonic and frequency band , listen the sound quality and flavor for finally confirm the parameter..
A lot people may know the even harmonic , just like the tube design, proper even harmonic especial 2x harmonic made the sound tube like and smooth .
But a lot people even some designers don't know the proper odd harmonic especial 3x harmonic can make the sound lively.
If you like to looking for the good specs, R2R 2 may not as good as the same price range ESS9028 Sigma Delta design, but its sound is analog and smooth.

it doesn't matter, they're not better

not only better but also better top

He could've transitioned into hearing aid enthusiasm.

It’s beautiful.

I've had a pair of AD900Xs since early 2014, but they're literally coming apart on me. the plastic rings that hold the drivers to the headband have fractured in a few places, and I can feel them starting to give.

I'd be fine to sacrifice a bit of audio quality for build quality. What are my options?

Attached: 3ae4dea37d95522bd57fa838848d0f9983b19ff5.png (939x657, 139K)

Just glue them together. With epoxy if necessary.

I can't believe how many people are in denial not only about the Harman target, which I personally believe is the best, but that ANY current target is desirable. People buy shit that doesn't even come close to any known target and then legitimately believe they're good from a pile of different bias clouding their reasoning.

lad

Attached: df5.jpg (600x600, 37K)

I find this hard to believe considering he told me i was an absolute madman to buy 007 without ever hearing them and from what he heard they were endgame level

what does that actually look like, im dying to know

Attached: 1520408107041.png (527x487, 33K)

why yes, i do enjoy mud, how did you notice?

Attached: _20190427_205934.jpg (535x532, 38K)

I think he does enjoy mud. I feel like I'm one of the few HD800S owners here. I was ready to return these headphones until someone in this thread graced me with this EQ profile. After trying out metal's HD800 profile I was really confused at how he could like such mud.

Based EQ guy. Are you still here? I trust you more than metal at this point?

He retired to ride around in a RV and he only took Beats and Bose headphones.

Even your God admits Beats is better than Stax or whatever snake oil is being shilled now.

Audiophools absolutely BTFO.

^this is a reddit post

Imagine Stax

lol, hi, i'm the same guy that posted him last time, a few days ago, and it's you that responed then too. but that time you didn't mention trying his eq.

I did and the highs disappeared completely. Maybe I just did the EQ wrong or something but if I did it right his preferences are very dark.

he likes the 650 a lot so.

Hello fellas, newbie here.
I need a new pair of headphones, I will mainly use them for travelling. I would like them very portable and descrete. Bonus points for bluetooth and long battery life, but its not something I crave.
I have 50€ to spend, I was thinking about some true wireless earbuds but I am not convinced.

Anyone has any advice?

What’s up with the fat guy meme?

hard to believe you did something wrong. just his preferences, but what i don't like is that he constantly pushes them as objective superiority.
