Started with Apple II e, upgraded to a Performa later.
Apple DOS was comfy.
Had a G3 Power Mac, PowerPC model, was still pretty comfy.
Started using Linux because I eventually got priced out.
The price used to be worth it because of the high-end hardware. I don't feel like that's the case anymore.

I like the UI of mac computers, but their longevity and lack of hardware upgrade potential has turned me off from them.There was an issue with some models of 2011 macbook pros with some sort of graphics card/logicboard failure that there was no fix to. And when I say there was no fix, I mean that apple could replace the logic board but the problem would return and to do so without being under warranty costed 500 dollarydoos.

The look. I used to buy Sony Vaio but they pulled the plug. So here I am with a Mac and let me tell you that I only use it for browsing the interweb. Everytime I need to do something, I use bootcamp and switch to windows. That's my second Mac in 4 years, the first one had a battery problem and I don't even know how to install a software or delete one. It's my last Apple computer, never again.

Under Windows you don’t get good thermal management.
Mac apps install easy just a simple drag and drop to the apps folder. You can use App Installer to uninstall with the remaining plist files

I’ll check it out and see if I can disable it. I knew it was possible but had been having some issues getting it to work. The 2011 one was one I got for free recently since it had that issue. I do have a 2012 though that I run Kubuntu on. Older macbooks can be easy to get your hands on since people usually just chuck their old ones out.

Ok I get this argument a lot.
Apple is steep when you start upgrading the SSD and RAM, but overall they're priced well for premium products.
Also resale value is great on Apple devices, I update every couple of years.
Yeah there's also a hardware level thing you can do by removing the GPU altogether by reballing it out, but it might be too much work and hassle.
But that site has a way to completely disable the dGPU and have it work on the iGPU, I did it to mine.
I also put Ubuntu just for kicks since this is mostly a YouTube/ slow photoshop machine. Pretty fun

Windows had too much latency for audio asio is complete trash. Maya wasn't for Windows. Macs handle ram better. Ntfs 32 can't handle moving files larger than 4/8gbs. There were no good daws except reason but that wasn't untill 4 that it could handle live audio. Last good windows is was xp. Inb4 7 there's a reason they tossed silver light. Etc etc

I owned and exclusively used a macbook air for two months before giving it to my sister because she places more importance on a logo than the quality and functionality of a computer than I do. It wasn't good, I bought a $600 hp which is a better laptop. I owned a iPhone also but cracked screen plus a bath, no iPhone then or now because no headphone jack. At least I know nothing apple makes is special or better in any way unless you like logos. I'm sure it goes nicely with your fubu shirt.
