that kinda looks like they stuffed a generic motherboard into a generic rack case and just filled it with wi-fi cards
shit, i wish i could do that for that price. saw these guys at a linux con this weekend. but holy fuck 60k for a wifi tester
What's it do?
>traffic generator
>what does it do?
what does a traffic generator do?
I thought the point was to not have traffic, so that people could get to work / back home earlier.
>traffic generator
is it what runs the robot cars?
do we need laws on artificially generated traffic now?
>burgers pay 60 grand for something I can do with a thinkpad, 5 usb wifi adapters and a free linux distro
truly the goyest of goyms
Based retard.
>burger
>says canada right on the server
>canada
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>$60,000 dollar
What is this shit even suppose to do?
So it stress tests networks?
it generates traffic
yep
Show me the USB WiFi adapter that
works with Linux,
supports 802.11ac,
supports MIMO, at least 3x3,
supports master mode
>trying to justify a 60 grand purchase when you can get everything for 250$ tops
>a simple google search reveals an adapter that works in linux with all the features and is plug and play
such a good goy
I like CandelaTech, their ath10k-ct firmware and drivers at least makes the wifi usable on this shit TP-Link running OpenWrt
i have a few of these in the attic at work. i can take them apart if Jow Forums is interested
Based retard.
Here let me do it for you. There’s some circuit boards inside a box. K...keep me posted.
You could do all kinds of fun stuff with one of these that isn't the 'intended purpose'.
>why is the wifi slow?
>because it's wifi
>ticket closed
i just saved $60k
>user! What are you doing, I paid 60k for that!!!
eveything non-Intel.
Because intel wifi chips don't work at all
>eveything non-Intel.
I'm not aware of even a single 3x3 MIMO 802.11ac USB device
We use something similar at work but for Ethernet. Costs way more than $60k but then it has 10/100G capability. You pay for the software as well as the hardware, folks.
>let's not use this enterprise grade equipment and instead get that fat guy down the streets 10 year old Chinese laptop to loan us his garbage
Lol
Couldn’t you just rent a company botnet and have them just run a DDos at your system. Pretty sure I’ve seen legit companies which loan botnets to people
That's a big spider
Yo mama so ugly I wouldn't bang her for 60 grand
I miss edsworld :(
>this system includes the armageddon feature at no additional charge
For internet yeah but not for your internal Network
I've intel and it works, though requires a non-free driver firmware-iwlwifi.
Good luck outputting 24 Gbps of traffic from your chinkpad
Still, paying $60K - for what, exactly? 48 Gbps? Pretty sure an in-house hardware can be slapped together for $2K, and these wi-fi modules look like off the shelf components as well.
> >let's trust everything "enterprise grade"
lolx2.
Goddamn, people buy the stupidest shit, why am I not selling it. How should I approach my career at jewing fools?
>Armageddon feature at no additional charge
it's mostly boomers who happen to be friends with the owner of businesses that buy this shit and convince the owner it's a worthy piece of equipment and best practice.
