Install Linux

>Install Linux
>Immediately want to play games
>Go back to Windows
>Don't do a damn thing that involves games

Anyone else flip-flop like this? Right now I'd install Linux Mint but I'm too lazy to backup my memes to do it, so I'm on Windows. Should I just VM linux mint?

just install fedora 30 brah and be done with it

dual boot or support games which are available (natively) on linux. you will become bored of gaming again before long.

>Install linux

>flip-flop
Or you can just, you know, dual-boot?

Last time I dual booted my desktop shat the bed after a few months for some reason and I had to wipe everything and single-install.

you can play league of legends, overwatch, dota, cs go on linux why would you want to play any other games?

>linux-mint
>fucking ever
jesus christ OP never post that again

Just buy some old Thinkpad for dirt chip and use that for your Linux experience

I have a powerful desktop for gaymen and a thinkpad for GNU/Linux autism.
Why would you want any other setup?

>after few month
How it can be related to dual booting your system then ?

because using some old pos laptop for linux doesnt do justice to it

I have no idea, but no other troubleshooting seemed to fix boot issue with the partitions.

how do you play overwatch on linux????

works on my machine (tm)

Why would you use linux if you were trying to do real work? Who cares if it's slow? You're wasting your time already.

Lutris. Go check it out.

That's why you just stay on Windows and run Linux in a VM if you ever want it for any reason.

being as i dont use windows and do real work every day, kind of makes me wonder what you are doing so wrong

Well I really want to get my AS in math and RHCSA cert so I can hopefully move onto being a more productive faggot.

strange issue. Not sure why it would ever shit itself, particular when booting to a grub bootloader

>jokes on you, i don't use a computer and do REAL work like shoveling shit
>who needs a computer

you dont need windows to do mathematics

Yes, although it doesn't always necessarily involve gaymen, though these days I hardly do any gaymen at all so I very rarely flip flop, the secret is user you need to realise that gaymen is a waste of time for manchildren

Nope. I made the decision to forgo games on PC, just to make it simple. I admit that using a PS4 isn't as good as even a moderate PC, but it is convenient. Looks like the PS5 will be a pretty good upgrade, too, based on the released specs.

>That's why you just stay on Linux and run Windows in a VM if you ever want it for any reason.
ftfy

only reason for using windows is games or windows exclusive programs, even osx is better for video/photo editing
>just use windows in a vm brah
actually been looking into getting GPU passthrough set up but I'm a retard, is there any real difference in distro choice for the host? People say you need bleeding edge up to date packages, but I've also read that people get it working on mint 19

>Install linux
>Want to play games
>Find out I can play games
>Find that I have problems with my controller
>Find that I have problems with input lag
>There's some shit that isn't working quite right
>Go back to Windows
>Everything works perfectly
>Play next to nothing that cannot be played on Linux

That's absolute trash. That's like saying

"you can eat kfc, mcdonalds, burger king, dominos every single day, why would you want to eat anything else?"

noob

>even osx is better for video/photo editing
Not even. Adobe Suite is known to run better on Windows ever since Apple moved from PPC.

I'll migrate to Linux once there's a version of Launchbox for it. I can't stand not having all my emulators organized in one frontend.

>too lazy to backup my memes
Syncthing is the solution desu
I have separate syncthing folders for documents, music, movies, porn, memes, and pictures. Have an old ass RPi rev 1 that's really only good for super simple tasks, so it's always on, listening to those directories and keeping them in sync w/ my phone, laptops, and desktop. I dual boot Win10 and Devuan, and syncthing starts automatically on both so the RPi keeps things synchronized across both OSes.

>Using shitty Ubuntu

I have dual booted Linux mint and Windows 10 and even though there's no reason for me to use Windows I still won't log into Linux mint.
