Not necessarily. It depends on the program. For example, one that has to look through the registry for some data, but it has to go traipse over all the crud left over from Windows never cleaning anything up properly. Also, it's just nice having a registry not filled with junk data.

I'll maintain that little registry cleaner is a decent choice from their initial list. it works on more than win10, and its open source.
OP use BleachBit.
Ccleaner was literally caught to be spyware. it has zero actual advantage over bleachbit, since bleachbit can be enedlessly updated with custom rules.
