Can I clone my current Windows OS to a HDD, then clone that HDD to a partition on my laptop, then boot to that OS and delete the previous OS on my laptop? Or is that not a proper way to install an OS?

i'm currently studying compsci and i build wordpress sites on the side to earn some cash. I make them on localhost then i upload to a hosting. Ive found out i lose a lot of time doing this manually so how do i automate this? i think continuos integration is the meme i'm looking for but i really have no idea where to start. Ideally i make changes locally, run a command and everythings deployed and well. Has technology came far enough for this?

Yes... Infact most HDD/SSD makers have utilities that you can do that will do just that.

That said, Id say switching to a new drive would be the best opportunity to get a fresh install of your OS done, to clear out any old programs or files you dont use(and then keep the old drive in an enclosure for a while incase you accidentally forgot to transfer something over)

Not seeing why two clone jobs are necessary. If you can't go directly from source to destination, you can image the drive into a big file, then restore that. Also works as a decent backup. Macrium reflect does both well.

Maybe not best practice but, I just build them on the server, use htaccsess to restrict access and the WordPress password protected plugin for good measure.

If you want to build them locally it takes 5 mins to use duplicator and upload them to the host. I'm sure it could be automated or easily deployed with docker. But might not be worth it to save 5 mins

Are there any browser script blockers that dont require a shit ton of micro management to work?

i've been using NoScript for as long as i can remember. mostly to block annoying popups and redirects. but as a result everytime i enter a website, since no scripts are running, nothing fucknig works. so then i have to just accept all scripts, because 7 of them are blocked and i dont know which ones are breaking the site. then 3 new scripts pops up once i unlock all the previous ones, that i also have to unlock. etc. etc. it's extremely annoying and make browsing such a chore. and really defeats the whole purpose of a scriptblocker when i jsut allow everything anyways cause i cant be bothered checking what all of the 10s of scripts are doing everytime i go to a new site.

Remove hdd, gpu, all ram but one, any other optional component and see if the bios comes up.
If it does, put back the components until it stops booting, and you found the one that you need to change.

Not sure if this applies, since I never paid attention to my keyboard light, but my BIOS sometimes won't show up, and I can fix that by uplugging the PC from the wall for about 30 minutes, and then just plugging it in and booting.
