well, that's a decent gamble imo. i was rarely a teacher's pet but i always appreciated it when teachers stopped pretending to be all autistic about muh objectivity and gave preferential treatment to my colleagues who were either always there and attentive or were always good at the material or always worked hard.

professors here are very upfront with the fact that they round people's grade so much that it's basically impossible to fail if you show up and do ur best.
unfortunately i don't always show up and do my best, but i was in the same situation last semester with discrete math and the professor rounded my final grade by more than 10 points last semester so that i'd pass.
an even more generous professor gave me a C for a class where i turned in 3 out of around 50 assignments

i've been taking a pill of levothyroxine sodium since i was four days old, it basically replaces it to an almost 100% effect, have been doing it my whole life and will likely have to for the rest of my life. longest i've ever gone without it was five days and i felt very sluggish and ill, like a really bad hangover that you can't shake.
don't know if it's genetic, it's unlikely since nobody else in my family has it, my mom had me when she was 42 and she had lots of issues with birth, one miscarriage and an ectopic pregnancy before my older brother was born and then another miscarriage in between me and him so i was lucky to be born with so few health problems i think and it might just be attributed to that.
bless my mom for going through so much shit just to have me, probably why she likes me so much. she grew up an only child so she really didnt want my brother to be one as well.
