Why does it download all the folders I UNCHECKED? Yes they are empty but fuck it's annoying if torrent is 230GB full of small 10-20MB files.
Any alternatives that don't do this? Don't suggest that malware Transmission

Still have 5 years to go but w/e

This isn't the fault of the client, this is your fault for not knowing how torrents work.
You have a bunch of chunks, which are only parts of the files.
They overlap with other files.
You can't download one without parts of the other.
You can't seed without keeping the unwanted parts.

Do you have that chart of memory used to number of torrents active?

rolling

Deluge - dead
Transmission - cuckware
qBittorrent - stalled and rapes HDD

thanks

>deluge
python shit consumes shit load of ram, not surprising
>qbittorent
qt sure is bloated.
>rtorrent
what a load of crap

Doesn't qbt neatly put unchecked shit into a hidden folder (called .unchecked or something)?

Is this really what ails you, OP?

>rapes HDD
this, that's the main reason why I switched back to uTorrent 2.2.1

>uTorrent 2.2.1
>tfw no magnet link support

this is not a roll.
don't ban me hiro slaves, don't make me turn on/off my router.

Its pathetic that steaming pile of shit deluge is the only one with a thin client.

The retards at qbitorrent think a web GUI is satisfactory, get fucked.

What do you mean?
2.2.1 supports magnet links.

What on Earth is wrong with Transmission? Or are the zoomers on 4channel just acting contrarian? Not feature-packed but does the job reliably

utorrent 2.2.1

you're doing it wrong

Based and redpilled.

Nope.

roll

probably because it started dowloading them before you unchecked them
add them on pause, uncheck whatever, and start them afterwards

Transmission on anything other than Mac is garbage.

I've used it on linux for 5+ years with 100s of torrents running without fault. Pebkac

Looks like qbt scales well, it just needs 20MB for the GUI or whatever. Why does rtorrent suck so much when it's supposed to be the best client?
