not as much as ur mom killed my hard on when she undressed

why would a motherboard need heatsinks this huge?

The chipset heatsink is kinda pointless but alot of the Socket 2011-3 chips used 140w+.

more heatsink more better.

You can always disable RGB

Pretty good but overpriced and no one actually needs it.

That highlighted sentence is ESL as fuck

I'd rather have the money and R&D time spent on actual design

it's meant for extreme overclocking

That socket and ram layout is pretty cool

They used to run hot.

as if modern boards are lacking in hardware. Just man up and use whatever you need

I exclusively buy motherboards with guns on them.

I am saving up for a Zen 2 CPU but what's a good motherboard brand for AMD?
I haven't had an AMD CPU since 2001

Is Asus just as good with AMD as with Intel?

I can hear that picture

ASRock Taichi

Trash z390 at that price might as well go x99 or x299. Ryzen boomers swear it’s cheaper, but they pay 300$ for a board and 300$ for ram.
>Shilling for anything past x299
Imagine how dumb some users on this site are. Got mine off eBay for 219$.

Tldr AMD is still last and z390 is a dumb platform.
Here comes the triggered

Get off this website and go make some cash

But they dont make these anymore user.
t. user with x58.

even the designare from gigabyte (that threadripper mobo) has gay rgb and its considered a high end workstation mobo.
only supermicro has oldschool stuff and these are neither overclockable, work on non server cpus or are as compatible with random consumer hardware.

While this is cool, the design of the big ass heatsinks is still ugly as fuck. (and pointless)

>You can always disable

Yeah well if I have to use the program to keep em disabled and keep my PC vulnerable it's not the best of feeling my dude.

cringe
I bet you don't even run gentoo

>ASRock
Nah thanks I'll stay with the RGB shit instead.

>Yeah well if I have to use the program to keep em disabled
But you don't. Every motherboard I've ever used with RGB lighting has had an option to completely disable it in the BIOS.

X299 is a dog shit platform with underperforming housefire CPUs. Literally the only use case scenario for it is if you have a very specific AVX-512 workload in mind. Otherwise it's a dead platform that only a complete idiot would buy into. It combines literally all of the disadvantages of mainstream Intel and Ryzen into one burning package.
